I've been having lots of fun with Loadout recently. It feels like a third-person TF2. I like the customizable guns. My biggest issue is that too many of them just suck. You can spend 20 minutes swapping parts in and out and get something that just blows. And this is the norm. I get that they don't want to have too many overpowered weapons, but I think they need to raise the floor a bit. Also, parts are expensive and while you can get them through normal play, the game will very quickly move towards pay to win.

Anyway, it's $10 for early access, and F2P when it launches.

I'm bumping this.

Currently playing some GTA: Online. I only really like the "Mission" games. Both the co-op and versus missions are really fun. I don't care for races and abhor deathmatch.

Picked up Splinter Cell: Blacklist for some online action. Spies vs. Mercs is really ******* good.

Pokemon X. I have only ever played one Pokemon game before (Ruby). It's been fun so far, but I've been stuck for like the past hour or so because I couldn't capture an Abra and now I can't get one to spawn again. I dunno how long I will play it but it's a fun diversion. I am not going to really research anything so I'm sure my pokemon will be sub-par.

NBA 2k13, Magicka, Witcher 2, Rift, F1 2012 currently on my PC gaming rotisserie.

Heavy Rain on PS3 a bit.

I'd never given Magicka much of a chance but I've been having a lot of fun with it.

I have started The Witcher and The Witcher 2 probably 7 or 8 times each, and I always forget about them after the first distraction, only to start over a couple months later. I really want to play through them but I have a feeling I never will.

I'm the same way. It's hard to pick the game up where you left off, but that's what I did this time. I installed that new official combat mod or w/e it was and this is the first time ive been back to playing it. Game is running a lot better, maybe because of the patch or because i changed something.

Pokemon XY here, as well. They really got rid of quite a few typical design features of early games. Each area seems to have a ton of pokemon that spawn (with a bunch of more-rare spawns).

But before you even beat the first gym, you could have caught two different fire types, a water type, a grass type, an electic type (pikachu), plus two different normal and normal/flying pokemon, and some snake pokemon with rollout, a farfetch'd, etc.

It's pretty awesome. Smiley: lol

Being sick gave me a chance to download a bunch of new mods and get back into Skyrim again. Now I have a richer, prettier, and much more detailed world, filled with many scantily clad individuals; of which I largely approve. I stepped back in right where I left off, and started a few new alts. I'm up to like 10ish now, with none of them past the early 30s, and I've yet to get more than about 1/2 way through the main story. Probably starting my next alt sometime soon, thinking a robe/clothing Conjuration-focused Mage, as I haven't done that yet.

Spoon, that first gym gave you a TM for Infestation, which you can teach to a bug pokemon. It makes it so that the target can't flee the battle.

Grab the fastest bug pokemon you have, teach it infestation, and use that to catch Abra. It will ALWAYS try to teleport away, so your only options are to throw a pokeball right away and hope it works, paralyze/sleep it first turn, hope that lands, and then try to catch it before it can flee... or use that skill and enjoy not having to worry.

Edit: I should probably explain. I started reading the last five or so posts in this thread and heard that coming from the living room. Apparently the roommates were browsing Youtube on the Playstation. Felt like too good of a coincidence not to post.

Yeah, my Beedrill has Infestation. I just can't get the Abra to appear again. I saw like 4 of them within 10 minutes, and then nothing. I didn't think to use Infestation. :/

Apparently my new thing is never finishing games I bought on a whim on Steam sales. Then going back to games I liked but over played already.

Recently:

Played Borderlands 2 like a mad man for 200-300 hours.

Played Metro 2033, fell off a cart in the dark with **** guns and **** ammo while monsters humped my face. Quit after 20 minutes, need to go back...

Played Risen 2, got near the end but realized I was forcing myself to play it. Never finished.

Played another character through BL2.

Played GTA IV, was ok but pacing was weird and got bored after maybe 2/3's and quit.

Played some more BL 2.

Played Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing. Pretty fun for a bit, started feeling like a factory job where I get payed for how many thousands of monsters I smash per hour. 2/3 quit.

Rolled a new toon with mods in Skyrim. Did all the guilds and got to the DLC and realized, I have done both DLC too recently for it still to be fun. Quit.

Played Bastion... Actually finished! Gem of a little game. Would recommend.

Now I am wondering what I should play next. Go back and give Metro 2033 another shot? Play Defiance? Apparently that's an MMO of sorts, I should most likely try it before it folds. Or maybe Xcom vanilla?

Hmm..

Anyway, I've been playing a lot of path of exile ( I'm really liking it ) and kerbal space program, which is suprising the crap out of me with how fun it is.

I was busy uninstalling random programs when I noticed I had Reus installed. I have no memory of acquiring this game, but I figured since it was installed I'd try it out. It's mildly amusing so far.

I miss FFXI events with my friends. They are still playing and I could go back and play with them, but I have no interest in any of the newer ****. I liked everything up through WotG. Abyssea was OK, I guess, but that's kind of when I started to lose interest. Last time I tried to get back into it, I just got frustrated at being **** at everything I was previously good at and only lasted maybe a week.
