I hope so.

You may notice a bright green glow emanating from your body, don't be alarmed. It's apparently a good thing. Seriously though, you put in your 'healing power cell' and shot people with your giant gun, twas awesome. Smiley: grin

Medic's my preferred TF2 class. That way, instead of idiot tanks I can deal with this...

I do it so I can do six instance runs in a row on my mystic and not let anyone die. Then jump on my slayer and watch three people die with a priest in the group.

Since im at work and not able to play the game, how do you heal in this game? do you just aim at the person you want to heal? Hell, i dont even know how to interact with other players i see, like inviting to a party, or whispering....

Yeah, it's weird and takes a little getting used to. You hit the spell, target the character with the cursor and hit the spell again to "launch" it. Somewhat literally -- you fire out a little sphere in an arc that hits the character and heals them. You can also mouse over two people and both will get healed when you fire the spell; I'm pretty sure they both get healed for less than healing a single person. There's some glyphs you can get later to give you a third person, extend the range, etc. I haven't played a Priest but I assume the basics are the same.

Mystics can also drop healing spheres (you've probably seen them, sort of large pinkish bubbles) that people in the party can pick up and get a heal effect. So when you're fighting a boss, you can drop spheres and concentrate on actively healing the front-line fighters while the ranged people can take care of themselves by grabbing spheres.

To interact with people (invite, inspect, etc) you hit ESC to go into the "cursor mode" and right click on them. You can also click on names in chat to whisper.

Priest get aoe ground runes as well that heal all within. The problem back when I was playing and I cleared all of the dungeons before I quit, was that there are so many ground effects that they can sometimes turn into an overlay mess and you run to get healed right as Boss Mob Drops his oh **** bomnb on the same spot lol.

I was still fun though I got my monies worth out of the game. I just saw my email today that says I have 1100 company script in my account. So I might log in this weekend just to see what changes they have put into the game since I got bored with the end game. The journey was fun though, the personal stories even get pretty neat in a FFXI cutscene sort of way as you advance.

Though for some of them you are forced to group (blah) I was playing at the launch so we had a big guild to do them. Not sure if that's still true.

Yeah, I was running with a priest last night and noticed the AoE "ring" heals. And that the warrior who was the nominal tank never stood still in them even when the priest was trying to use them for after-combat downtime healing. I'm sure that was a lot of fun for the priest Smiley: laugh

My female Castanic (sp? whatever) slayer got some new armor that changed her hair from downward waves to some silly cylindrical up-do. It angered me.

Of course, in this game I'll probably be replacing the chest piece in another day or two anyway.

Watch the hair change actually be part of a background patch and not due to the armor.

(1) Make Female Character of Human, Elven or Cast-whatever species (or Elin if you swing that way).
(2) Done.

It's damned near impossible to find female garb that isn't more flesh-revealing holes than armor.

I was thinking human or Cast-whatever. Not looking necessarily for flesh revealing. Just pretty.

Yeah, sometimes this game is almost NSFW... which would be great if I knew more male characters.
