Play it through to the end, it has a nice portal type twist at the end.

I was given From Dust as a gift, since it was on sale and on my wishlist. It's pretty neat so far. It's kind of like Lemmings.

This weekend I decided Im going to start Installing my plethora of Indie Bundle Platformer games and start beating them.

First one down, Adventures of Shuggy. Fun little game, nothing really special, has 100+ stages, but its more of a puzzle game, each level has a random mechanic. Jumping is a tad floaty, but you get used to it. Didn't have much trouble with it, kind of easy, a few levels were borderline frustrating though.

I'm not going to 100% beat each game (achievements wise) just worry about beating the game period and moving on. I may clear out my backlog in a few years, but at the rate im getting deals, Ill have another 200 game backlog!

Its funny, I relinked my games in Raptr Profile to steam... It found 75 new games.

This thread now called VG Deals Anonymous.

Hello my name is James, and I have a problem!

I got a key from Zam and played it once. It was alright just not really my cup o' tea. I enjoy Tera more.

Yes I read it, Yes I understand the exploit was in Steam also. But do a Quick Google for Origin Hack and from September-November of last year, tons of reports of hacks and EA just says "Nothing to see here, move on"

Were you not just the one saying that the blame lies with the users for not securing their account credentials and allowing others to log in to their accounts? Hell, do a search for Diablo 3 and "hacked" accounts. A month or two after D3's release the official forums were in an uproar about potential "hacking" of D3's servers. Blizzard saying nothing more than "Not true, you should be using an authenticator."

I was, and the blame does partially rely in the user, but this is a actual hack, Not a phish or password grab from another site. I said that in the post 90% or hacked accounts arent from hacks but from bad password/browsing habits.

I was going to mention this hack probably happen to me at all because I run ad block and no-script. The only way a script can run is if I allow it to on my system.

Most of the time users use the same password at multiple sites from game services to forums. Game sites have pretty good security its hard to brute force a password from them. But Forums on the other hand mostly don't, because they don't house high security info. (Credit cards, tons of information on people). But if Joe Idiot uses the same password/email at both well guess what happens then.
Hell if he uses the same email, you can usually reset a password with relative ease.

The D3 thing was more then likely this, not an actual hack. Blizzard cant do much against it, but they did their best by implementing the IP trace. Lets say you tried logging in to my account from your house. My account will lock, and ONLY unlock if I allow it. Its a pain in the *** sometimes but its better then nothing.

If people were getting hacked through the Diablo 3 client or through the WoW Client I would understand your argument

Also, I mean hell the Article even states it had just happened with Steam not to long ago, With essentially the SAME method. If you were a rival company wouldnt you say "Hey they got hacked in in this way, and our program has almost the same interface. Maybe we should double check our system to verify its secure."

It actually is a phish though, cause it involves tricking people to click URLs to launch malicious programs through Steam/Origin. Similar to how you'd trick someone to click on a URL through an Email or Internet Browser program to try and get malicious programs to run on their computer.

You misunderstand me.

You said search for Origin Hacks. When you do you get a bunch of articles talking about people complaining they lost their account, they get emails saying their passwords were changed, etc. and that EA is saying nothing is wrong. In other words, a group of people are losing their accounts and thinking "Oh, EA must have been hacked, no way my account was stolen, I've got perfect security. EXACTLY what happened with Diablo 3 and Blizzard shortly after it's release. And Guild Wars 2 shortly after it's release. People had compromised accounts and jumped to the conclusion that it must be Blizzard/ArenaNet/EA who had the weak security.

I kinda remember some of it, maybe. A combination of me not writing anything down, and the item being consumed on use. Smiley: frown

However I think I can still help, especially since stuff is dye-able and what not. Human was set 12 and the priest was set 16. There's about all the chest pieces in the game up on that site for all the races. It's a work in progress though, and some parts are more complete than others. Sadly they haven't done the weapons yet.

I know the priest has a level 27 blue staff, since that's what I was using at the time I got the dress. I can't remember the Berzerkers, except it wasn't the same level 43 blues that the rest of the gear is (late 20's maybe...). The archer was level 22 whites with a 17 green bow, and the warrior was level 32 greens and level 52 white swords. It's the oddest thing, but gear seems to match up best with weapons from a different tier. I mean you would think all of this was the same set, not mismatched items from 20 levels apart... Smiley: rolleyes

There are a lot of really awesome things on there. Now I just need to figure out how costuming works. Smiley: laugh

It's an awesome site, I've spent too much time there lately I think. Smiley: lol

Anyway, to change stuff. First buy the pretty gear you like, and head off to the appearance changing person. She's the NPC at the circled spot here. When you talk to her here's an option to buy templates (horribly expensive ones) and another to alter your gear.

The interface is pretty simple, there's 2 slots for each item (boots, gloves, torso and weapon). The top slot is for the ugly armor with the awesome stats, the bottom slot is for the pretty armor. You put both pieces in and pay a bit of a fee to make it all happen (like a few silver to a gold or two for the stuff I've done). Then press the button and *poof* the ugly item now looks like the pretty item, and the pretty item disappears. This means when you upgrade gear you'll have to buy another pretty item, so watch the back account.

There are some restrictions. The pretty gear has to say "can be used as template" or you won't be able to copy its appearance. Also the ugly gear has to say "Remodelable" to change it's appearance, and "Dyeable" to change its color. Other than that there's no level restrictions or anything, so you're pretty free to pick and choose what you like. Assuming you can afford it... Smiley: wink

Yeah, that's been holding me up. I rotate through armor so often that I can't justify spending money to alter its appearance just to toss it onto the junk pile in a day or two. Seems like more of an end-game pursuit.

Yeah, it certainly can get expensive fast. There are some looks I would have loved, but I can't spend 500g on something that's going to last 5 levels, even if I really wanted to. Smiley: lol

End game perhaps. Smiley: wink

Most of the gear was pretty cheap though, the only thing that really killed me was paying 14g for the level 52 swords the warrior is using. Mostly though, 5-20 gold every 5 levels is something that feels pretty doable, if it's something you really want of course.

I'm probably parking the Mystic until I'm ready for some more abuse in CR or until a miracle happens and we have a guild group who would want to do it. Pick-Ups in CR as healer aren't much fun nor rewarding.

My priest is level 32-ish, berzerker and mystic are just a couple of levels behind. There's also a scattering of others. Unfortunately the only one that I have in the ZAM guild is a languishing level 8 priest. Smiley: frown
