Any mention of DA works for me.

Eske said that all these new items warrant everyone starting the game over and making a thread about it.

Those items will make the game quite interesting, I would think. I bought some item DLC for DA2 (the mage/rogue/warrior set 1) a while ago... totally changed the dynamic of playing, especially since I had an elemental bow. All of a sudden I was stacking +fire% damage and roasting enemies in a shot or two. Was a lot of fun Smiley: grin

I had a number of these from preordering the games and doing some other stuff I don't recall. Most of them are pretty useful for the first third or so of the game, after that you'll want to upgrade. If I hadn't just replayed through both of the games I might look into it. I suppose I still haven't gotten around to Awakening, so I can use the three items for that.

Awakening is almost as good as DA2 (and superior in some regards). It feels like DA:O 1.5... half the playtime, but a continuation of the story and the same feel. The ending was also a lot more satisfying than DA:2's.

Unlocked all the items, thanks again guys!

I don't give a **** how broken Arcane Warrior was in DA:O. I really want them to bring it back in DA3.

Only reason anything was really broken in DA:O was due to a lack of any real difficulty setting.

All I want for DA3 is some semblance of balance.

Because THAT will happen.

I felt like DA2 was fairly balanced, right? I mean, in DA:O you had a completely unbalanced class (mage), and some extremely unbalanced specializations (Spirit Warrior, Arcane Warrior, etc). But I felt like DA2 was fairly balanced... perhaps mage was even a bit underpowered.

Mage was, but dual wield rogues were really OP. At least, that seemed to be a popular POV on several different forums. I also noticed that at least according to character sheets, Isabella had the highest DPS by far of any of my other party members.

Huh, I must have been playing wrong. I always found Isabella's trees far inferior to Varric's. Plus positioning always seemed to be an issue.

Well, I never really paid attention to how it played out in battle, but that's what the character sheet said anyways. It was usually 20-40 points higher than everyone else's. I probably wouldn't have noticed if I hadn't also read several people say that rogue dual wield was OP. There were probably referring to playing Hawke as a dual wield though, I dunno. I doubt positioning would be as much of an issue there.

DPS only refers to their damage during regular mash A(Or whatever on keyboard) attacks. Doesn't reflect well to what damage they would do with abilities all to well. Without a Vendetta or Assassination all she really brought to the table was the AoE back stab. And your two other rogues completely eclipse her in terms of AoE damage.

I haven't finished my Bow run through but I know Dual wield hawkes can be a beast if speced right. Although whenever that nerf came down(Sometime after Sebastian DLC and before Mark of the assassin. It happen when I wasn't playing the game.) It took a serious blow. I use to be able to maintain 100% crit hit rate with a really high crit hit damage and be able to tank 1 high ranking enemy. When I picked up the game again and instantly noticed the nerfs when my Dual Weild rogue was getting beaten up much easier. I notice a lot of her stats went down on the char status screen. I still could deal 5 digit damage with the brittle multiplier.

They also nerfed armor for Blood magic. However I do feel the game was balanced at least in mage and warrior land. I have to finish my bow play through to make an accurate assessment of rogue.

Isabela annoyed me to no end. She couldn't seem to get in position in a timely manner, and just seemed to attract unwanted attention once she did. After growing tired of watching her run back and forth aimlessly I switched in Merrill. Smiley: rolleyes

Not as though that means anything, given I've barely played the game. Smiley: blush
