Good iPhone RPG'sFollow

#1 Aug 09 2012 at 12:40 AM Rating: Decent
Hey, I am looking to find some RPG's for the iPhone that don't suck. Any suggestions? I browsed and downloaded a few, but most of them were garbage.
Thanks!

I'm not sure about iPhone native RPGs, but your best bet might be to grab a SNES and/or GBA emulator and play some of the games available from those systems.

I really like Shining Force, it is a sega genesis game ported to iOS but I've been really enjoying it. If you haven't already played Final Fantasy 1 and 2 on a million other systems that might be an option (though they are overpriced IMO). Phantasy Star 2 is also available, quite cheap - haven't gotten around to playing it though since I've been enjoying Shining Force. Dofus Battles is more of the "stop the wave of mobs" type variety but it is a lot of fun, and there are rpg-like elements such as getting to choose the armor of your warriors, different classes and leveling up. (there is a free version of this you can try out)

Avernum is awesome but it is ipad only.

I still have my SF cartridge with the level 94 Hero. It's funny since you can basically beat the game with most other party members in the mid-20s, maybe less if you're really cautious. Cast Boost and I could one-round the side DD heads with double crits. Good times. x.x

Swordigo. I've been playing that a bit. Graphics and music are nice and the controls work well for an Iphone game, which I struggle with on most games. Otherwise, jailbreak and get some emulators.
