You sit down at your computer. How many games are installed and ready to go? I realize that you can install a hundred small indie games in the space Skyrim takes but we're not doing hard science here.
How many games you do have installed right now?
1 - 5:5 (14.3%)
6 - 15:11 (31.4%)
15 - 40:16 (45.7%)
40 - 100:3 (8.6%)
100+:0 (%)
Total:35

This thread is clearly liberally biased against console gamers and I will not take part in this media conspiracy.

I didn't do an official count, but 6-15 sounds about right.

So I take it you've never upgraded your console's hard drive? Even on my PS3 I have 20 games installed.

I just answered for my laptop, which probably has 3-4 games installed right now.

The PS3's probably got around 20 digital games installed on it. It's pretty much full up.

Real gamers use PCs.

Liberal gamers use Macs and try to justify why they're just as good as a PC.

Think I only have 4-5 now. Gotta new box and haven't bothered to load up much. The old one had lotsa stuff, probably 50 or so, but it's been turned into scrap or something so I'm not counting it.

Between PS3, XBox, and PC I've got 26.

I don't think I've really played any of them all that much, though.

Not counting, like, Freecell and the other "games" that come with Windows, I've got WoW (unsubbed), Rift (unsubbed), GW2 (not out), and Skyrim (not playing currently).

So yeah, I'm pretty much playing Freecell right now.

20 just in Steam currently... 3 meg DSL makes it harder to blow off downloaded games, due to having to wait a day to re download Smiley: tongue so 15-40 counting a few MMO's that aren't listed there.

I still have skyrim and dragon age (plus expansions) installed.

I have Warhammer and Warhammer Wrath of Heroes installed - I've never played Wrath of Heroes (but I might some day!). I also have Vanguard on my machine again, cuz I dled it for a 15 day free trail. It was pretty fun to play again. I love their stupid diplomacy game - and all it is is just a type of board game. Also Vanguard is supposed to be going FTP any time. I also keep LoTRO installed . My two kids agree to game with me on occasion and since LoTRO is FTP we play that - we all have low level hobbits.

I think I still have trine on my machine (and I might still finish it), and yesterday I bought zombies vs plants (and played all freakin day!). Oh, and I downloaded the teaser for SIMS3 awhile ago.

Now I'm getting fidgety thinking about all the games I should take off my computer - it might blow up at any second from excessive game storage.

13-15 range. Anytime I think about it I always miscount somehow and end up with different numbers. So either I really suck at counting or my computer is trolling me.

I decided not to count my emulators, so it's probably in between 10 and 15.

I've got basically my entire steam library installed - but not much else on the hard drive, so I've got 60+ games installed at the moment - Some of those are free, some are just small indie games.

Still got 450Gb+ left on my 1Tb hard drive free though

35. When you have lots of space, you can leave games sit while you're not playing them.

Right now, 23. A few of those are fairly small indie games, so they don't take up too much HD space. I do have three MMOs installed right now though, so that makes up for. Oddly enough I don't currently have a subscription to any of them.

About 20. Maybe 10 MMOs (some I need to uninstall as I played them once for ZAM and then never touched them again...), maybe 5 Steam games, then a bunch of older games I installed a while ago.

15 to 40 seems like a large gap for some reason.

I'm sitting on 35 games at the moment.

(5x2)+5 = 15
(15x2)+10 = 40
(40x2)+20 = 100

No special reason for it, but that's how I made the groups.

The catalyst for this poll was a Steam forums thread with people lamenting how they can't keep track of their games if they're not on Steam. That seemed a bit odd to me since I only have a couple "main" games installed at one time, plus a couple favorites I might want to hit up and perhaps some smaller indie titles. I've never had trouble keeping track of what's on my computer at any given moment. And when I uninstall a game I'm done with and go to install something new, it's no great shakes to look at a couple sites. But to each their own.

My installed games count gets reset every time I rebuild my rig. But I am sittign in the 15+ range even without the games I have not re-installed after a fresh image of my PC.

Approximately 7, though I'll only actively play about 3 at a time. It'll probably spoil the polling, but is there a particular correlation you feel might exist here?

Not really. I was more surprised to hear that people had so many games installed at one time that they'd lose track of them without them being listed in the Steam library.

15 - 40 is a safe bet for me... I have 19 installed on Steam, plus some larger and then smaller games installed as well.

Sims 3 is not a game though... its a way of life, so I didn't count that.

also: I have a lot of the same games and more, still installed on the old PC. I keep meaning to go through and clean them up because my friend has been abusing the poor thing with all these FPS free Steam games.

I hate FPS...but they are more fun with a friend.

15-40 sounds about right, it hits he 400+ point though if you're including roms for emulators.
