I for one, welcome our new Sand Wasp overlords.

Also, just unlocked Hell. I know what I'm doing tonight.

I just plan to unlock inferno then work on alts. Give blizzard time to "balance" the game so I dont have to deal with the heartache from them nerfing things after ive completed them, or getting legendaries that will be buffed later, but not retroactively.

Granted, by the time i unlock inferno on my first character that might all be done, still pluggin away at nightmare....

For some reason my keyboard keeps setting to German while I'm playing D3. Y and Z keys swap, and the ; and ' keys switch to accent marked O and A.

Very annoying. And it's only while in D3, like right now I'm alt-tab'd out and the keyboard works fine.

Plowing through A2 Inferno slowly on my DH. Got through Maghda without too much of an issue, but I'm getting roasted when I do the first bit at the Emperor's room. There's not a whole lot of space to kite, and the stupid serpents one-shot gib me right now. I think that I can farm elites/champions from the areas before Maghda, though, so I can get more resist gear. I know people say to pure glass cannon, but I'm pretty sure I can get my resistances high enough to take 1-3 hits.

I'm thinking that if I just farm the first quest, before recruiting the Enchantress, I can run around with basically two companions and farm the champs/elites out there with great ease.

Normal? Fun. Nightmare? Fun. Hell? Fun. Inferno? Not so fun. I just finished Act 1, but while Hell felt like a good step in difficulty and enemy complexity, Inferno act 2 just seems to be ********** you." I'm gonna put it on the back burner while I get other classes to 60, the part of the game I enjoy.

The problem with Inferno is progression. Understandably, Blizzard wants progress for the bulk of players to be slow, such that even fairly dedicated players haven't finished the game in a month. However, the bigger problem is that you pretty much can't gear up for the next act in a previous one. I'm suitably geared for Act 1 tanking, and I'm probably wearing a fair amount of Act 2 gear. There are many people playing Act 1 with Act 2-3 gear and still having a hard time.

I am able to handle everything in act 1 with ease outside certain rare combos and the butcher gives me a bit of trouble. Act 2 on the other hand makes me feel like I did zero gearing in act 1 and tried to dive right into it. It is... frustrating... to say the least.

Indeed the problem is their design plan for scaling items. And making inferno scale in exactly the same way. Except of course people aren't clearing act 1 with act 1 gear, they're clearing act 1 with act 2/3 gear. It's like they forgot that the auction house exists. http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/5575469053

Funnily enough, I found the opening canyon/path area to be one of the hardest parts of A2 since the lacuni firebombs are probably a guaranteed death for most undergeared. Adding the wasps to the mix doesn't help, but they're easy enough to dodge. Managed to get through the rest of the act, but had to turn to help on Belial since I just couldn't DPS all his adds down fast enough solo. A3 was a bit of a rude awakening getting to the first pack of fallen with like 3 shaman constantly reviving everything I'd just killed, so I gave up for a bit.

I'll probably just say I'm undergeared, maybe not so much "underskilled" however some may translate that. I just know my luck sucks with random drops, nobody buys my stuff from the AH (if it isn't going invisible), and I'm not really keen on farming endlessly with no guarantee I'd actually get a gear upgrade. I'd probably say building for Maghda or ZK to be the goto fights in A2, Maghda being the easier of the bunch, but it still doesn't quite make DH life easy post-Smoke Screen nerf.

Act 3 is funny, Ive gotten 70-90 kill streaks from those large fallen packs.

Got my Barb to Inferno. I just wasn't doing well on DH on Act 2, and got bored of farming on it. I'd rather farm on Barb than DH. Right Now I'm board&sword but I'd like to work on a high DPS 2-hander set for farming A1.

have you been running s&b the entire time, or just now that you are in inferno? ive been 2H the entire time ive played (just got to hell) and was wondering if i was missing something from sword and board that is better than 30k crit mayhem.

I ran S&B most of the time. My current build is here. If I need a stun, I swap Leap in for Furious Charge.

Well I got thought most of Act 1 (inferno) last night. and actually kept a 5 stack of Nephelim Valor (sp?) from Skeleton King ~ Warden before I decided to turn in for the night. Now I have a full page of my stash with sellable rares, a Lvl 10 BS, next is JC. This is what I run Here. I dont try to keep up Wrath unless its a boss/Elite pack, I have like 27%(before Wrath) Crit and atm using S&B.

I think my threshold of "sellable" is too high, probably losing out on a lot of money.

Yeah, I'll just say people are overvaluing their stuff. Between market saturation and a lot things maybe hovering around +50 stats, especially without resists, people wanting more than a couple hundred k for most things is... wrong. Then again, me selling things I think worth selling (not super) is probably why I'm poor since I price low. :P

I try to value my rares according to how good they are. When i get a rare/magic item I look at the stats and ask myself, "Would I wear this" if the answer is yes, I put in in my stash. If no I DE it for mats. Then I take each it put in the best 3 stats on it -5 and see what the lowest one selling for is, then I put it up for cheaper then the lowest one (Usually). Weapons are a bit different I search by DPS match it to something of similar dps and post it in approximation of what I feel the DPS + Stats on weapon are worth, Its a bit more guessing honestly.

Right now, you're probably not getting a ton of sales on items without resist all on them. You might sell some DEX stuff with a high single resist to Monks who are using OWE, but I think most people on Inferno are gunning for high resist in general, though some DH and Wizards might buy more glass cannon items.

I kind of wish you had 10 AH slots for anything, plus an additional 5 slots for under-50 gear.

Also, I sometimes grossly undercut in order to just move gear. When 4 characters have full bags plus a full bank, I just want to move the product.

Oh don't worry, as you progress into hell you'll start to get a taste of what it feels like to be a melee. Then in act 1 inferno you'll be mad. Then if you make it to act 2 inferno you'll rage quit.

Pretty Much this, Im taking a break on my barb until the AH fixes itself, its back to every white being nearly one shot me with 40k Health, 50% physical resist (according to my tab) and about 200 resistance to all elements. The bugs that shoot stuff you have to try dancing around because if about 5 'bullets' hit you I'm dead. It's beyond frustrating, and if there is an elite mixed in I last like 5 seconds if I'm lucky.

I just wish companions were better at getting out of the way of ****. I'm not asking for 100% accuracy in dodging wasp, or getting out of desecration before taking any damage, but they really should be getting out of that stuff. Also, WTB 'assist' option. ******* bat attacking treasure goblins before I clear the area all day erryday.

Progressing slowly through A2 Inferno on Barb. My DH is on the ZK blood quests. Barb, I'm out of the canyon of death and have cleared the illusions. Gear upgrades suck right now. I am not getting very many sellable items or upgrades, and basically I'd have to spend 1.2M for a single upgrade of ~10 STR/VIT and ~15 Resist.

I'm considering picking up a second weapon with LoH on it and trying a dual-wield build out, but I just don't know that I can lose the damage mitigation from my shield. A2 is rough at 35k HP; I'd really like to get that up to 45k or so.

My biggest complaint is how they handled gear progression and difficulty level. You should be able to clear through to Inferno Skeleton King on A4 Hell gear, albeit with some difficulty. Then you should be able to farm to SK for gear to clear the second half to Butcher. Then you farm the second half for gear to clear A2 up to Maghda, etc. But ****, you can be wearing all A2 gear with some A3 gear and still have a rough time on a melee on A2. I can steamroll A1 on Barb. I can clear virtually any elites without much issue. A2 is absolutely brutal in my current gear.

Whatever. I'm still enjoying my time ingame. I do a couple farming runs and jump between characters. My HC Barb is in NM now, and my Monk and DH are pushing through Normal. I might level a SC Witch Doctor just for the level 60 achievement. The class doesn't really interest me, but maybe I'll end up liking it. I hated DH for the first 10 levels, and ended up really liking it.
