The 360 and External HDs.Follow

I have a bit of a conundrum here, and I'm hoping someone can help me. I'm currently living with my parents, and last year (as in 2010) for Christmas they bought themselves the Kinect bundle. So we have an Xbox with a measley 4GB HD. I've been itching for some console gaming, so I bought a copy of DA:O Awakening, GotY edition. It has the original DA:O plus the Awakening content, and a seperate disc with all 7 of the DLC packs. The day I bought it, I tried to install the DLC from the disc, and it said I had to have a HD installed. So last night I took my 250GB HD and plugged it in to the Xbox. I reformatted it, allotted the 16GB of space and all that. The disc still didn't register that I had a HD. After tinkering around with it for about an hour, I installed the game onto the HD, and was able to get the DLC installed as well. Now when I get to the main menu of the game, and select the DLC menu, nothing shows up. Anyone have any idea of how to fix this?

What happes when you select "New Game"? If the DLC is properly installed, it'll give you the option to create a save for Origins, Awakening, Leliana's Song, Witch Hunt, Golems, or Darkspawn Chronicles.

I hadn't thought of trying that. Would that mean I'd have to start over from the beginning? That would suck, considering I've put in 20+ hours since I bought the game last week.

All those listed are essentially different games, some of which will let you import a completed DAO save (Awakening, Witch Hunt and Golems). Others (Leliana's Song, Darkspawn Chronicles) are separate stories.

Just check the start game menu to see if your dlc is installed.

Also, when you are in your camp, could you get the quest from Sophia Dryden's grandson? The random quest giver?

If that doesn't work for you, I have a spare 20 GB HD laying around you can have on the cheap.

Nope, that didn't work. I hit new game, and it just did the same intro as before and had me create a new character.

Kastigir, thanks for the offer but don't worry about it. I had someone offer to mail me one for free. Smiley: grin
