So I just beat it.
It was totally worth the $15.

I highly suggest it for people with a ps3 and $15 to spare (because it is a short game, I'm thinking I took less then 2 hours).

I'll play it when it's $5 on steam.

15 dollars for <2 hrs? Sounds like a waste of money.

It is worth it. I'm about to replay it again and see if I can't find more stuff hidden around.

You may have a bit of a wait, it's a PS3 exclusive.

Hrm.. I thought I had seen it on Steam, but it must have been a rare occasion that I was browsing the PSN store. Oh well, guess I won't be playing it. Smiley: lol

Sounds too short for $15.

Depends on how much you value the experience. I found it more worthwhile than most movies, and the cost/time is fairly comparable.

It would certainly be something I would buy and I tend to be pretty frugal. I am a big fan of games like that and it reminds me of Shadow of the Colossus.

you're talking to a guy who only redboxes movies for a dollar fitty. :P

So I made it through it again. However once you beat it, you can like warp ahead, so I kind of skipped over a small part lol.

There is no text/vocal story, but it reminds me of the Dark Tower series. A quest that ends in rebirth, to do the quest over again.

I do as well. But I feel like that's a hell of a bargain, one that's not reflective of the actual value of said movies (assuming you're renting decent flicks). Redbox is a steal.

Mmhmm. Honestly, I didn't expect them to attack me. It was quite a shock when the tracking light went red and spotlighted me. I was like "It's not really gonna.......Oh, sh*t!!!"

At one point my scarf had no glyphs left. On the icy mountain. That sucked. Then I got a companion and we managed to evade them and lift each other past the sharky bit.

As you replay, your robe gets more decorations. In this way, you can tell the novices on their first play through from the veterans who are going through a second, third, and possibly fourth time (I've seen at least three robe patterns and heard rumors of a final robe transfiguration once you've collected all the glyphs.) Quite cool.

This. It sounds like a cool idea, but I don't see the point in buying a game with only 2 hours of game play.

The game is made to be played through multiple times. I watched a video on the making of it and the buzzword they kept using was "iterative." So, 1-2 hours on the first playthrough, and multiply that by however many times you need to go through it to feel satisfied.

I'm annoyed because the hubby played through on my PSN login, and stopped on the final chapter, so now I can't start a fresh game until he's done. Smiley: bah

It is and it isn't. Myself, I may play through again for trophies and lulz, but I'm almost as like to not. IMHO, the game could do a little better a job of providing incentive for multiple playthroughs I feel that way mostly because of the story's cyclical nature...it always seems to be unresolved at the end, which I find troubling. I went through it feeling like my character's role was to return life to the world, but instead, all your efforts are rendered moot when you're transported back and everything's dead again. Ultimately, you never make any progress towards resuscitating the world. It strikes me as Sisyphean, not hopeful. No matter what, you'll eventually get bored of it and quit, with things never put to right.

All that said, it's still awesome.

I highly recommend this game, bought it last night and stayed up to finish it, it's a beautiful experience for many reasons. Very high on the list for me.
