To me the options sounded like you could A) "Control" the reapers, which to me screamed "seize power and rule with an iron fist" which is exactly the opposite of what my Shepard would have done; B) Destroy the Reapers, the Geth, and EDI, which considering I went to significant lengths to just save the Geth and EDI was one of my favorite characters ever, that kind of pissed me off; or C) the "Synthesis," which to me sounded suspiciously like the Human Instrumentality Project. None of these appealed to me.

I wasn't really happy with the choices at all. Also, there were a lot of other issues with it, which have been brought up in other articles around the web. I won't repeat them here.

I intend to play through as a male at some point, but it's so hard. It's absurd how much better Jennifer Hale is. I don't think Mark Meer is even bad, but Hale is just absolutely kickass. It's so hard to let go... But I really want to see how things are different... And gaymance Kaidan... and Cortes.

I have a question--does anyone know if weight affects companion CDs? I'm guessing no, as none of their specific bonuses increase it (iirc), but figured it was worth asking.

Ah yes. The Indoctrination theory. I'm familiar with it already.

It would make sense - sure, but I hope that's not the way they were intending to go with it.

The conversations between Liara and Aethyta are so sweet.

My favorite is when Liara finds out Aethyta told Benezia that Liara was going to spread her little wings and fly, which she realizes is how she got her pet name. It actually made me tear up a little.

I've been listening to the song that plays during the ending a lot:

Well, correction. I've been listening to everything but the last ten seconds of it. Because that part kind of ruins it for me.

Speaking of music.

Very interesting bit of detail there. Almost ingenious to so subtly insert it so subtly...

How about this:

A dubstep of an End Once and For All where the drop hits right on the reaper growl. Someones got to do it.

So, who else missed on purpose during Garrus' day trip?

I actually had to stop for a moment and think that one through. But I ultimately decided to let him have it. I figure he deserved it--he got way more done for Shepard than her own government did. Plus, I figure there's no reason he needs to think I'm better in ever way. I mean, I don't even use sniper rifles...

Garrus was my most used character consistently across all 3 games. The bromance is strong, I totally let him win.

Has anyone ever really used Tali? I haven't. Her defenses are just way too low, imo, for a close-range fighter.

This weekend is Operation: Fortress.

It's +25% experience for all matches Friday through Sunday. It IS available on the PS3.

Nothing special about it beyond that, but nice nonetheless.

I have. Spamming her shield drain ability certainly helps, but I more took her because I liked her than anything. To be honest, for most of the game my squadmates were just people I brought along for their comments, and I did most of the work with the enemies. That's why on my next playthrough I'm upping the difficulty. It was just ridiculous.

I did, it didn't feel right beating him at what he thought he was better at, plus I'm heavily Paragon.

For ME1 and 2 I used her a ton. Haven't used her in ME3 because I just started the Geth portion of the campaign.

On a side note, is the multiplayer platform specific, or could I be playing with some of you PC and PS3 users and not even know it?

I don't know if PC can play with Xbox but I'm pretty sure PS3 is separate.

All separate. 360 games are hosted by Microsoft, PS3 by Sony, and PC by BioWare (or whoever they are paying to host).

Tali was my favorite squad member back when I played the games for the first time, mainly because I was romancing her and because Garrus + Tali makes for hilarious dialogue during elevator rides and whatnot. That has changed.

Anyone seen the face reveal yet? I cheated and looked it up on the net. Was thoroughly disappointed that, one, you don't get a true reveal and, two, they used a stock photo and crappy photoshopping for a major reveal like that.

I was expecting something like this (fan art, no spoiler) or this (fan art, no spoiler), but instead they ran with a photoshop. A poorly done photoshop as well.

Below is a number of pictures of the in-game reveal, plus text that mentions the physical appearance. Do not click if you do not want to know what Tali looks like before playing the game!

In-game and original stock photo (spoiler)

The photoshop is just lazy as hell and unbelievable crappy. Look at her hand. She's got crazy long hair considering she keeps it tucked away in that helmet all day long. She's got a tan, apparently, which is kind of odd since she's in the environmental suit all day and has been since she was born. She's also butt-naked, outside, despite belonging to a race where an environmental suit breach means a massive cold, if not death.

Looks like BioWare forgot about the reveal and threw it in there at the last minute. Hell, some fan did an edit to make the hand not look like crap and he's not even a professional.

Fan edit of in-game (spoiler)

Very disappointing, considering BioWare, on several occasions, mentioned they held meetings and whatnot to discuss Tali's reveal. Wasted meetings if all they came up with was to grab a random a photo of a model, chop off two fingers, white out the irises and add some thingies to her neck.

On a slightly different topic, now that we're in the fan art department, has anyone checked some of the stuff out there? I stumbled across this 3D art of Jack while looking up Tali's reveal: Subject: Jack by Louvette (probably not safe for work, though nothing is really showing). And Muse, also by Louvette.

There were some good ones of Miranda and Ashley as well. Tali's definitely on the shelf now and Ashley is likely going to be my romance throughout the series this playthrough. I know she's a virtual character in a video game, but I'd be lying if I said she wasn't hot.

Take Earth Back trailer snapshot of Ashley.

I love Jack in ME3. She annoyed me in ME2, but is probably one of my favorite secondary characters in this one.

Jack is so close to being gorgeous in ME3. But the tattoos and shaved head still turn me away.

Did anyone else think Miranda looked kinda fugly in 2 and 3?

Oh God, and Diana Allers. Uncanny Valley, full speed.
