Help .. error msg - bags fullFollow

Hello,
I am new to everquest and I'm having a problem I can't figure out. I keep getting a message that my bags are overfull. It won't let me pick up quest items or do crafting. My bags on my character aren't full at all, plenty of room. I'm going to attempt to attach a screen print. I have no idea what to do or how to fix it .. other than deleting another character. Has anyone had this problem before?

Okay.. no screen print.. but I have 2/3's of the slots open on the main backpack and the extra 6 slot one is empty. I haven't upgraded yet so I can't ask the help people. Dang is this game hard to learn on your own. =/

I did =/ sold or deleted everything but I still got the message. I ended up deleting the character. NOW I purchased the game and a subscription so I COULD have asked them to fix it but I just started a new character.
