Wait is it a code that works ALL year or a code that works 1 time that expires at the end of the year?

It's a 20% discount attached to my account for all purchases for the year. It originally worked with buying Blue Coins but they fixed that -- but not before I bought a healthy amount. So while my coins last, I'll essentially be taking a 40% discount off anything I buy from them.

As for them honoring the sales thats insane. Now I feel bad for buying BL2 for 21 bucks, so many copies going to be out for trades and stuff.

I don't think they know WTF they're doing. Here's a brief rundown of my Bethesda Pack experience:

Smiley: eek Packs went on sale. I bought two for $57 total. I actually meant to buy one but the servers were so lagged that I said "***** it, I'll sell one" and just went with the purchase of both.

Smiley: mad They originally removed both my Bethesda packs and said they'd refund me. No refund was applied to my card so I contested the charge.

Smiley: confused Then, a few days ago, one Beth pack returned (no working serials, of course). The other is still missing.

Smiley: twocents The bank sent a letter stating that they had investigated, reversed the charge, refunded my money and were considering the matter closed.

Smiley: grin Now I have one Bethesda Pack (to get keys), a 20% discount and paid zero dollars. Go go, GamersGate!

Here's the other letter (I never got this one)
GamersGate wrote:
Dear Members,
Over the holidays we had a few problems with our site that affected some of you who bought or tried to buy the Bethesda New Year Collection and the Borderlands 2 Four-Pack.
We mistakenly advertised these packs at a price much lower than intended.
Many customers were quick to purchase the bundles at these low prices, in fact so many that our servers buckled under the pressure resulting in additional technical problems.
What does this mean for you?

-- If you have managed to access at least one serial key
This means that we were able to complete your order. As difficult as it is for us, we will be honoring the price that we advertised and you will get to keep all of the games you bought – we’re currently waiting on serial keys to complete your orders and will deliver them as soon as possible.

-- If you have not managed to access any of the games
This means that we were not able to complete your order, and have therefore reversed your payment. We understand the disappointment that you have experienced especially during the Holiday season and as compensation we are providing your account with a 20% discount valid on all purchases on the GamersGate site until 31 December 2013. In the few cases where discounts are not permitted, we will do our best to provide similar compensation (e.g. the equivalent amount in Blue Coins). The discount is not valid when purchasing Blue Coins.

We want to apologize for these mistakes and the amount of time it has taken to resolve everything. It is possible that there are some who may be “stuck in the middle” and we would like to direct them to our support team so we can help you individually. Please be aware that due to the above issues, our support team is under heavy pressure – we will be answering all tickets we receive, but it may take longer than usual until things calm down.

We hope that you can be pleased with the resolution of these issues, and that we can continue to deliver fantastic deals and some exciting new releases as we move forward.

So instead of getting one of two great options, Joph gets both, due to trying to buy it twice.

I looked up ***** in the encyclopedia and it had only one definition: Jophiel.

Actually, there are a bunch of us around these parts that have read them. I finished the new one not too long ago, it was alright, but after what happened at Chichen Itza, the reds weren't much of an issue anymore, so the new book is more or less just about setting up the new villains. Still, a couple of interesting changes near the end.

As to Joph and is his damnable luck, I'd put reasonable bid in for one of those copies of BL2. The best sale price I saw for it was $22.50, so it would have to be less than that though.

I never got a 4-pack of BL2 or else I'd let you kids have 'em cheap. They canceled that order before I could even pay for it. All I have is a copy of the Bethesda Pack.

Curious myself. Seems to have mixed reviews but I haven't found anyone who has actually played it first hand.

If you're in the market for a new mouse, Razer is having a 50% off peripheral sale starting today at 9am PST. In stock items only. Use code BESTOFCES2013 at check-out.

edit: Sale is still on through tomorrow but it's sounding like a lot of stuff is out of stock by now. I picked up a DeathAdder 2013 though so I'm happy. Been using a crappy stock MS mouse since my MX Revolution finally because too difficult to repair.

Wish it was blue instead of green though. Now I have blue case fans, an orange lit keyboard and green mouse. It's like someone dumped Skittles on my desk.

You keep trying but unless they give away free games again, I will probably never install Origin. It's one of the things keeping me away from ME series. I don't trust EA and their underhanded close to spyware, client.

I got Origin just because I've pretty much given up that EA games will be on Steam, or even if they are, that they will ever reach the discount levels that they do on Origin. Like Kingdoms of Amular. Or the later ME and Dragon Age, etc.

And I can't stand not having all of a series on one platform... having ME1 and 2 on steam and 3 on Origin would bug the hell out of me. (I dont' have any ME for the PC)

Origin only wishes to make sweet $5 love to you...

If you (general you) use Chrome, you should check out this pretty amazing extension a poster on the CAG forums put together. It adds things like color coding for owned/wishlist games, historical pricing data, DRM warnings, etc to the Steam site.
