You might look into a program called Xpadder, which maps controller buttons to keyboard presses. It's free if you look in the right places. I've only used it with a PS2 controller so I don't know how it works with 360.

GMG now just has a 20% discount on ME3 (both versions) without the need to type a voucher code. I suppose that... less keystrokes?

Edit: I think I played Bioshock with a controller. It was one of my first FPS style games since Doom. Next game was Far Cry 2 which taught me the value of KB/M for accuracy but stuff in Bioshock is so often in your face I don't know that it matters.

Anno 2070 is $30 on Steam this weekend. No cheap but as cheap as it's ever been from Steam.

Still waiting for them to lift that ridiculous DRM before I buy it, even though it likely won't affect me.

Every week you see people on the Steam forums grousing about that "game", apparently unaware that you're not expected to buy every DLC any more than you would buy every single train car, miniature tree and tiny house in a hobby shop. It's a niche hobbyist market.

He has to ask the community what tree he should buy that week for his train model.

I'd say Metro 2033 & Stalker for $5 each is well worth it. I feel less charitable towards Homefront.

Space, Pirates, and Zombies (SPAZ) is the Steam deal of the day for $2.50, along with getting the Bounty Hunter expansion for free. This is a fun top-down space shooter/RPG, and definitely worth getting at this price.

Shogun 2: Fall of the Samurai is available as a pre-order for $20 (33% off) from GMG.

I've been looking at order screens for that game for so long, I was surprised to see it still hasn't been released yet.

Another Humble Bundle is out with an Android tie-in.

Canabalt
Zen Bound 2
Cogs
Avadon

And Swords & Soldiers if you pay over the average. Games also for PC, Mac & Linux.

I personally like the Android app angle as I don't usually feel like playing most of these games at home on the PC but I enjoy them when on the road, on lunch at work or lying in bed/on the couch. Bust out the phone or tablet and go to town.

I would be fairly tempted to pick up that DLC, if not for the fact that my copy of Shogun inexplicably refuses to output any sound.

Have you tried the usual suspects? (reinstall, dxdiag, acceleration settings etc?)

In a related note, I'd be up for doing a coop campaign with someone/and or multi-player battles.

Kevin Spacey can't help him now, plus I don't think he has any I.T. experience.

If you want to get your retro on, Amazon has a 48-game Sega pack for $7.50. No easy way to list the games since the "pack" includes sub-packs that aren't detailed game by game but you can check it out yourself if you have a hankerin' to play Altered Beast, Streets of Rage, Golden Axe, Alien Storm and Ecco the Dolphin.

Edit: It shows a list now if you scroll down but I'm still not copying it. Rrwar, Eternal Champions!

Lots of old school Genesis Sonic games in that pack. Very tempting...
