Sonic Generations is pretty awesome. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to nostalgia their way through a game.

City Escape. I nostalgia'd so hard.

Quantum Conundrum (both versions, with or without Season Pass) is 33% off today from GreenManGaming. If you downloaded the free Hacker games from last week, you should have a 20% voucher which will stack and bring it down to nearly 50% off.

Everyone who plays SRTT seems to either hate it as a terrible alternative to GTA or praise it as so much better than GTA. No exceptions.
I thought it was an enjoyable game, and different enough from the seriousness of GTA4 that I don't really look at one as better than the other. Overall, I enjoyed both games, and enjoy both franchises. I'd probably prefer that they stay different enough from each other so that one doesn't truly feel like a rehash of the other.

If I had to pick one to buy for PC, it'd be SR3, since from what I understand, GTA4 still has issues on PC.

I can't decide if I want Dear Esther or not...

[EDIT]
I'm liking Bastion so far. I LOVE its soundtrack.

I'm debating picking up the Age of Empires III: Complete Collection. I really can't decide.

Civilization: Complete Collection is 71% off for $40. Worth it if you want to try some of the older games. Most people seem to like either 2 or 5 the best. If we are including the expansion into 5, it has a lot more fans (expansion adds religion, for instance, which really should never have been left out of the core).

Is Age of Empires III worth it? I've gotta admit, I've never played AoE...

My understanding of Dear Esther is that there is very little actual game play and it's largely a story. For that I'll wait for it to hit an indie bundle or something.

The soundtrack is almost universally praised. It's awesome, especially the ending song.

Voted Dues Ex, because I'd definitely like it, but not enough to pay a noteworthy amount of money atm.

Civ V is a flash sale, which brings the complete collection down to like $25 (but no Gods and Kings expansion in that). Civ V alone is $7.50. The GotY edition is $12.

Bought Amnesia, Dear Esther, Mirror's Edge, and the Civ V GotY edition.

I also picked up Civ V GoTY. I have no idea when I'll get a chance to play it, but for $12.49 I couldn't pass up on that deal. I voted Skyrim because its going to win anyway.

Another free game from GMG. UFO Aftermath. "Buying" it also gets you a 20% off coupon on a future purchase.

They do that a lot. I've posted three offers for a free game + voucher in the last week or so. A couple other free games they've given away have been worth $2 or $3 each back in trade-in credit. Not a bad deal even if the game itself is no great shakes.

I kind of want to check out some of these other DD sites and I think the competition is good for pricing but.. I've already got Steam and Origin to deal with, though I keep Origin disabled. What kind of software do some of these other places use for the DL?

Do you link them back to Steam after pretty much?

Amazon doesn't use anything. You either get a Steam key (which you activate on Steam, natch) or a small executable to download the game and which you can then delete. If the game requires GFWL or Origin or whatever you'll still have to link it to that account.

GMG has a launcher called "Capsule" that they use for their stuff. If the game is Steamworks you'll get a Steam key instead and not need Capsule. The reason for Capsule is because they allow you to trade games (on Capsule) back for credit so they need a DRM method of handling that. Games not on Capsule are not eligible for trade-in since they can't block your Steam games.

I don't believe GamersGate or GetGamesGo use anything for their non-Steamworks games. I've only ever bought Steam keys from them.

Got my cheap "Kill Hitler" DLC via the Sniper Elite V2 flash sale. Woohoo.

The base game is still $15 on Amazon, by the way. Hope none of you bought it for $25 from Steam.

I'd list the dailies except they're all repeats, terrible or both and I'm too lazy to open another window and transcribe them Smiley: laugh
