They made a game with sh*tty controls and called it a challenge? I'll pass.

QWOP? That's been around for a while. They released it in 2008. It's goofy because the buttons control the thigh & calf muscles, IIRC.

It's good for a laugh with friends. I think I managed to make it 75 meters by having the character fall onto one knee, then bunny-hop on the knee the entire way.

I managed to make it about 10 meters by doing a split and scooting along slowly on my crotch.

by incorporating crotch and knee slide moves used by others, I still couldnt get past 15 meters. This game is retarded, but I can't stop playing....its 2010 all over again.

Ha! I expected some graceful gazelle-like sprinting from that video.

The guy made it 100m but still looked like a marionette Stephen Hawking.

He should have done it to the Chariots of Fire theme.

If I ever saw someone run the 100m like that on track I'd crack up laughing and then feel bad because I laughed at someone at down syndrome. And then I'd continue laughing.

Funny you say that, the game actually plays the song. But it only plays it if you reach a sufficient speed and stay there.

So you're saying it never plays the song.

Smiley: tongue I've seen a few people get it to play.. for five seconds or so. It became really big at my work this summer and for a couple of days we'd spend part of our lunch breaks trying to beat each others' records. Someone made it up to 60m or so and was devastated when they had to leap some hurdles.

Oh, that's right. It's been a couple years for me since I last played it, and I had forgotten that. I don't think I ever went fast enough for long enough to hear more than the "bum-bum-bum-tsh-tsh-tsh-tsh" part, though. Smiley: tongue

A couple of friends sprung this on me in a Panera Bread a year or so ago. I managed to finish it on my second try by pure dumb luck of him landing just so on his knee that I could hobble to the finish line. By the time I was done, people from a few different tables had leaned over to look. The PB Rednecks love QWOP, apparently.
