In case no one has played it (like myself), the first Fable game is on sale for $2.50.

Yeah, nothing there I'm even curious about.

Well, I did buy Witcher for a couple bucks when it was on sale a week or two ago. Doesn't help me now though.

My big dilemma is what 10 games do i I put on my wish list just in case.

I'm already up to 5 coals, and a 50% off valve coupon.

Side note : People buying the humble indie bundle for 1 penny over and over on alt accounts to "farm" coal disgusts me.
(not that it will do them any good, I suppose valve has away to see who traded what what, and realizes some guy didnt just make dozens of friends willing to give him all their coal)

I got it for $2.49, as I felt it would be a crime NOT to purchase the best "platformer" I've ever played for that amount.

I'm out for lunch today and on vacation next week so if any other enterprising fellow wishes to update the posts, feel free. And, of course, you can just see them on the Steam website.

I might get The Heist. Haven't decided. I've heard others speak well of the Mount & Blade series. Apparently "Warband" is the one to get.

I didn't care much for Arkham Asylum (controls kind of sucked in my opinion) so I'm in no rush to get Arkham City.

If you get a Stalker game, get Shadow of Chernobyl and download the "Complete 2009" mod for it.

I played the Heist demo on PS3, pretty good but very short. There are only 6 missions for the game, with randomized objectives for each one. Gets boring pretty fast even with Co-Op, wait till it goes for $5 or less.

I own it and it's fun, but.. I don't know if I missed something early on, but I have no idea what I'm intended to be doing. I just spend my time running around with an army, slaughtering bandits and other countries' soldiers. If there's a story, or an objective I should be going for, I have no idea what it is.

Your mom is meh!

But, yeah, so are most of these deals. I'm (good thing?) not spending nearly as much so far as I'd expected.

Limbo is supposed to be pretty good, I went ahead and picked it up. I (regretfully) already have Torchlight, which I can't enjoy very much. ME1/2 I own, and Brink was such a disappointment that I wouldn't even play it for free. Everything else I've either never heard of or have no interest in.

I have to wonder if the actual quality of these sales is going down, or if most long-time Steam users just happen to already own all the good stuff.

I feel like a little from column A and a little from column B.

But this is going to be a two week sale (assuming they go through Jan 1 as their gift/achievement thing suggests) so I guess they can't put out all their "A" material right away.

What? Why?

Great dungeon crawler. Granted, if you want a dungeon crawler now your better off waiting for D3.

It just feels so endlessly repetitive to me, like a poor man's Diablo 2. All I ever do in it, no matter which class I pick, is autoattack and occasionally use a skill if that doesn't feel fast enough. There's a bunch of different enemy types, but they basically all behave the same, so I never even notice what I'm fighting. There's just no challenge in it.

sounds like a problem with the genre, because thats how all the dungeon crawlers i've played are.

If you can tell me a dungeon crawler that isnt that way (and isnt D3) please let me know so i can go buy it.

Agree to disagree, I suppose. I've played dungeon crawlers where that wasn't the case (such as Diablo 1 and 2). Torchlight suffers from an overbearing lack of variety in my opinion.

couple hours left on divinity 2: dks! pretty awesome rpg; it's got random loot and item sets where the pieces are mostly behind little puzzles and stuff, not random finds.

i decided to update skyrim before getting into a new mage character. freaking steam! started updating 6 different games (around 500mb) with a combined playtime of about 2 hours before even listing skyrim's 51mb update. my connection sucked so pausing or uninstalling through steam caused it to lag out.

picked up me2 and dungeons of dredmor.
