The new 360 Dashboard update...Follow
...sucks. They've managed to take what was before a barely tolerable menu system and shove into a bunch of ugly boxes. And why the hell is there a Bing category? I know MS desperately wants people to use their silly little search engine, but it has no place on a gaming console that doesn't even include a rudimentary web browser. At least they got rid of the blindingly bright white background for some of the features. Now if they'd only remove it from the rest of the system.
It was always possible to change the background- I haven't used the "blinding white background" in at least a year.

I haven't seen the new dashboard yet but I know what it's supposed to look like. Welcome to Windows 8 (PC and tablet), Windows phone, XBOX 360, and probably every other major Microsoft product between now and the next decade.
Like I needed another reason to hate Apple...

On topic, I really, really don't like the direction Microsoft is going with the new Windows sh*t. I don't like the look of Windows 8, and that extends to everything similar to it.
Looks like I'm switching to Ubuntu eventually.

I see this as an "Anything you can do, I can do better" style response to the iCrap GUI environment. There's no reason that different devices with different purposes should all have the same GUI, it's stupid and insulting to the user.
That and I hate what Apple is doing to the industry, so I can find a way to blame them for about anything.
I still don't know what 'nux I like better, OpenSUSE or Ubuntu.

I have Ubuntu installed on a separate partition (they make it really easy to do that, by the way), I just can't figure out a lot of it. Like how much of stuff needs to be done in the command line. terminal.
