I buckled down and went for BL4 and BL5 in a row. BL5 will finish in a couple days, and then the rest of my times should be pretty easy for a while. Didn't have much time to play this weekend, but hope to get some stuff done this week.

i might be in the minority here, but i kinda wish there was a hard cap on skills you could learn. seems kinda lame that everyone can get the same skills with enough time. Whats the point in having a community if everyone can do the same stuff.

I kinda agree. Specialization would be a lot of fun; or maybe something like you can only get one crafting skill to level 3, all the others are level 2. Or you could choose animal kinship skills, or gardening, or mining. That would be sorta neat.

Found out the other day there's a level cap: 60. Didn't realize that... people hit level 100 in the beta.

They also need to add something deeper to professions. Right now I'm investing in them just for the sake of doing so, not because I can actually do something with them later on.

They need to remove a lot more things from vendors, or limit the amount you can purchase from the vendors each day. That will increase the player economy.

They already removed many (not all) of the second level tools.

I think produce should be limited, so people have more incentive to grow/sell to users rather than just themselves. Seeds should be limited. Everything available at the vendors makes the auction and trading not as worth while.

Adding a vendor for housing upgrades that take currents would put a big money sink and solve the issue of people just hording currents and the inflation.

And while I don't really like the idea myself, I think there should be a limit to the amount of times a tool can be repaired. Or each time it's repaired to full from broken, it loses 1 max durability. Something to create a need for tools beyond the initial purchase.

Blockbuilding could be expanded for use in housing upgrades, decorations, etc.

I don't mind everyone learning everything, because at some point it becomes inefficient to try and do it all yourself even if you can.

I agree with all of those points Tirith. High level food should NOT be sold by vendors. They also need to add a way to create the items that grocery vendors sell (and delete the vendors).

Know what I would do?

Eliminate the ability for vendors to sell any item that requires Tinkering X to make (IDK how they scale--haven't invested in it too much beyond initial ability to repair).

Vendors will sell items at a set price. However, these items will need to be sold to them by players to replenish their stock (which won't naturally replenish). They'll obviously be more expensive than the AH, and players will make less of a profit, but it has an instant gratification aspect.

I agree they need to implement some system that allows us to upgrade our houses--that would add value to a lot of skills (and put a premium on energy and mood that just doesn't exist anymore). And it would allow us to do things like create kitchens, which means we won't need to lug our cooking tools around with us anymore. They should also double the length of the day.

Yields should probably be decreased too, as much as I hate to say it.

That would go a long way, imo.

I agree with most of your points.

Question - where are a bunch of bean trees? I made like 15 stacks of awesome stew but now have run out of beans :(.

Ok, this time all my butterflies turned back into eggs. WTF? Is this not happening to anyone else? At least it's simple to grow them all again, but still...

Edit: And maybe all my old butterflies did as well. I found 20 eggs on the ground, along with a bunch of milk. Maybe I just missed seeing the eggs before?

My butterflies are still alive, so IDK. Maybe it's something related to the mansion?

Beats me. I was told that they have a 7-day lifespan before doing their phoenix impression. Apparently it's to keep crowding down in the streets... but if the streets are overcrowded, they already fall to the ground and eventually die, so I'm not sure that's correct.

They opened up a bunch of 5-15k cottages.

Including a bunch of 15k video game themed cottages.

I would buy one, but I'm already too well established in my 50k home.

We've reached my 'gripe' stage of playing a game, where all i can do is pick at things.

What's the point of having all these cooking recipes if you only make two items? I see no reason to make anything with my cutting board, grill or frying pan.

I've been reduced to an Awesome Stew and Earthshaker factory.

Any other cool recipes out there I should know about?

I switch it up, grinding out powders (Fecundity and EHSP), getting Favor for my Icons, making foods, and running around gathering supplies. Yesterday I made up 16 stacks of Awesome Stew. Today I made up 5 EHSP and a few Startling Fecundity. I'm at 4/11 for Pot Emblems. Got Humbaba and Cosma Icons. This morning when I logged on real quick just to get Favor for that day, I recieved 205 favor from the Cosma Icon twice in 10 minutes.

I'm not just grinding the same things all the time (other than Favor). I'll switch it back and forth. I'm still waiting for housing upgrades/decorations to make it all worth while though.

That's a shame. It was a really interesting and different kind of game. I kind of wonder why they weren't able to get enough players to sustain it.

Because they launched it before it was ready. There was nothing to strive for, and everyone could do everything given enough time. It could have been a phenomenal game imo, but they blew it.

I enjoyed playing it for a bit but I lost interest pretty quickly, I agree with K turner, the game just wasn't quite ready. It didn't really feel like a game after the initial exploration

Smiley: cry

It was a great concept, and I had a lot of fun playing it in Beta, but I kinda figured this was coming several months back when I saw they went back to Beta again. Oh well... good memories Smiley: frown
