Hey guys,
are star wars galaxies really shutting down or is there a hope? I love this game. I bought 12 month membership for swg and it's shutting down!!! IF ONLY they would not shut it down!!

Sadly it is dead Jim (Ok that was a Star Trek line but it fits).
On the brighter side at least you will get the unused portion of your subscription back.
Yeah it is sad that the game is closing but I think we can all agree that SWG has been an example of mismanagement right from release and the fact that it lasted this long is a tribute to the dedication of the player base more than anything else, I think the real shame in all this is potential that was squandered with this game.
All I can suggest to fill your SWG fix is to try one of the SWG Emulators, they have become quite popular since the closure announcement.
