Not that anyone had any doubts about a sequel, but at least now it's official It's just an announcment really, nothing too interesting is revealed. Given how amusing the first game was, I'm willing to give the sequel a chance.

I'm actually finally playing through the first one now (fresh off the PSN sale the other week). I'm enjoying it; it appeals to the loot hoarder deep within that I thought I had long since abandoned. When I get a shiny new gun that suits my play style, I kind of want to just sit and cuddle it.

Is it weird to say that I wish there was more variety to the guns, though? There are myriad combinations of specs and attachments, but they all seem to be relatively small derivations from around 8 archetypes. They end up looking a lot alike.

The game could also use some effort to stem the tedium and repetition, and some more variety to the environments.

Other than that, there's a lot to like, and I'm excited for the sequel.

They do look alike but they handle quite differently.

I hope the Sniper archetype is more snipery this time around.

I just want more stuff in general. i want armor and rings and crap. It was a blast collecting guns but it was very easy to get to a point where you had the best weapons in the game.

Don't get me started on the flaws in Borderland.

Surprisingly, the game was very flawed. The boss battles were so glitchy i accidentally ran into a new exploit almost every time i faced them.

However I still played upwards of 150 hrs of it.

So I still haven't finished this game. I played it for a while back when it had been out for a month or two... then my computer broke. I picked it back up earlier this year with a brand new computer... and then my computer broke again. I don't know if I want to start over AGAIN.
