Kinda surprised this hasn't been talked about on here. I just got it a few days ago and haven't been able to devote a lot of time to it yet, but it looks like it has a lot of potential.

It's like 2D minecraft with more focus on combat.

Minecraft has a good amount of combat focus with the difficulty on anything other than peaceful, and there are PvP servers as well. I saw Terraria in the most played on my steam, but one look at the trailer made me go

"I payed 9$ for minecraft back in alpha, why would I spend another 9$ on a worse version of something I already have ?"

Maybe with PvP, but hardly otherwise. There's so few enemy types, and no variety in combat (either I hit it with a sword or I shoot an arrow at it, woo). On top of which, none of the enemies are really all that dangerous.

I've played Terraria since last Friday, and by Sunday night I'd already seen everything it has to offer. It's a fun game with some good potential, but as of right now there isn't a whole lot of content. I imagine that if they do some content updates, this will become a very good purchase. Personally, I'm waiting to see if it goes on sale during Steam's usual summer madness (I played a beta leak originally).

I started playing two days ago, and it's really nice. We should do a server of this too and build one giant community house. :D

Translation: Ikkian is tired of logging into Minecraft when no one is on, so he wants to switch to Terraria so it can happen there as well.
