Trying to remember a web based RPGFollow

#1 May 07 2011 at 11:50 AM Rating: Decent
I'm not sure if I saw it here or not, but with the EQ servers down I'm trying to remember the name of a game I played for a while. As the title says, it was web based. It was a very basic old style RPG, I recall the base being white. The main map was maybe a 4x6 grid and you clicked on the area you want to fight in or travel to.

I think you start on a mountain and talk to an owl that sends you on a task. There is a city area with merchants as well as sewer areas you fight in. There is also a guild area, which had a ball pit you could jump in once a day to get stat bonuses as well as a vending machine that gave stat items.

The names of mobs and quest texts were clever and entertaining. For the life of me I can't recall the name of it.

Any ideas?

Ummm, no clue. But if you are looking for a different option, you could try Spiral Knights.

Now I've got my Disco Bandit back up and running, almost to level 10! I used to visit Kingdom of Buffing to get a bunch of buffs everyday but it seems that site went down.

Does anyone know of a buffbot that is currently active?

Most clans have one dedicated for them. Just find one that accepts anyone and join them :P.

I was a member of KoL addicts while I played. They're a good bunch.

I don't really care about this topic at all, but I've already clicked it. Now I have to neurotically click it again whenever someone new posts, to make the annoying number go away...

:(

If I understand idiggory correctly, that's not wheat he's talking about.

It's the number in the parenthesis next to the "Replies" number that show's how many unread posts there are. I've never followed a post before, but I see those numbers.

And I understand completely how he feels, I do the same thing when the forums are slow.

Oh, yeah. If he's talking about that, there's nothing you can do about it.

Same here.

Although I guess it gives me a semi-valid excuse for a +1.
