Looks like their alpha will be ready soon. This video made me super excited for the release. Looks like some great game-play changes are in store and I love the environment shown.

So excite. Loved ep1+2+4, and psu had potential, they just wrecked it in execution. I want a true return to form running, dodging, attacking in rhythm with 100s of different weapons.

This is where I feel psu failed the most. Having 5ish rare weapons per weapon class at release is not like any pso I remember. Coming from a game that by the time they got to ep4 had at least I think 300+ different rare weapons 90% of them all having their own unique models to psu sparseness was staggering. PSO always felt part trading game to me, and psu didn't have that feel to me.

Let along the terrible balancing between races and magical vs physical damage. Not to mention the cluster of other problems like constant server issues, and the fact they had seperate servers from the jp and released everything several monthes apart for each one. Hopefully they learn from their mistakes. But seeing how this is PC only, I am guessing they haven't learned from all of them.

(Do they not realise why their Consule Phantasy stars do so much better then the PC ones? Especially in america?)

*sigh* another online installment. Phantasy Star began to go down the drain during the Dreamcast PSO. The game itself was kinda fun, though a bit slow paced at the start, but it attracted too many mental cases. PSU had great potential to be good, all the mechanics were in place for some really good combat, but it boiled down to pressing the same one or two buttons over and over and over and over again. Didn't take long for the mental cases playing PSU online to drive away any players that had a shred of decency.
