Has anyone heard about Project Copernicus? I was reading about it and while there is not a lot of information available, I did find some interesting tidbits. It sounds like it could potentially be an awesome MMORPG...... then again so did FFXIV. Here is a link:

Not much of a trailer. It's just a low texture CGI that says next to nothing about the game itself.

I'm not too interested in the single player game, though it is interesting it will be set in the same world as the MMO. I am much more interested in the names of the people involved: Todd McFarlane, R.A. Salvatore being the 2 that really caught my attention. My immidaite thoughts are putting these guys together with a great team of programmers and what not = mmo dream team. Then my pessimism reels me back in to reality where I realize that just because someone's ideas (no matter how much of a genius writer or artist they may be) are great in theory doesn't mean it will work for an mmorpg. However, if they can take their collective abillities and temper them with a great team of programmers, etc. that have experience in the industry, then it could just be the mmo ive been waiting for. My deal breaker for most mmorpgs is there lack of good PvE (read: too much PvP focus).

yeah, it was an announcement trailer. fwiw, i think the animation of the dude with the sword is freaking great and if it's anything close to that in-game i will gladly kill 4000000 boars to hit max level.

i haven't heard jack about these games in months... looks like march will put it back on gamers' radars.

I actually had the chance to visit Big Huge Games' studio in Maryland last month and check out Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, the single-player action RPG that sets the stage for the upcoming "Project Copernicus" MMO. The NDA just dropped today, so here are some articles to check out:

Our first look at the Reckoning demo
A Q&A panel with Curt Schilling, Todd McFarlane, RA Salvatore and Ken Rolston

As far as the single-player game is concerned, it plays similar to Fable. The graphics look great and the combat is impressive. From what I saw in the demo, if you're a fan of action RPGs it will be worth checking out when it launches next year.

They couldn't really talk about the MMO, but they did mention that the art style will be completely different from Reckoning. However, the world that RA Salvatore has created is massive. The team has 10,000 years of history at its disposal.
