I want everything to be back the way it was!

Everyone I knew to be playing again...and I'm also really curious as to what all those people are up to now in their lives. Yes, I actually care..or maybe I'm just curious, but it won't happen anyways. Cheers to you EQOA

Don't feel like you're the only one who actually cared about your friends you made on EQOA. Me, my bro and my cuz all miss our friends.

I would give anything to go back five or so years...not just for fond gaming memories but there is so much I would do differently in my life.

Like focusing on school much more, though that and experiencing EQOA in it's prime again would kind of conflict :/

Definitely focus on school more. I left the game when I went to college and it was amazing how much my grades rose with no EQOA in the mix... which makes me wonder why the F we just bought a month's subscription. If I'm fired by February, we know what helped.

I was always an A or at worst an occasional B student, but from where I am in college today I wish that I had worked harder to get into advanced classes that counted for college credits. I got out of highschool with only one class worth of credits and it was just a language one.

According to some random MMO site I was browsing thru trying to find something new that's worthwhile to play in my free time...I found out that EQOA happens to be the most sought after MMO or at least highest rated MMO as of recently, which I found somewhat surprising especially because you'd figure it people still cared so much about EQOA then more people would be playing it still..but nonetheless I do believe it because I too would rate EQOA highest among all games I have ever played.

And I still do wish it could go back to what it once was, but I fear that won't happen even if many of us did all start playing again, which is why I haven't taken the time to start up again. That and I'm just simply too busy to get involved in this game again, but the more time goes on in my life the more I want to come back to it so I'm sure that I will eventually as long as it's still running it's course. That being said, I think they really ought to cancel the subscription fee..or at least update it to make it playable on a new console like PS3..I bet that would bring back a lot of players.

Anyways, we can hope all we want but the truth remains. I'll prolly still continue to come back to this site at least for the rest of my life though, heh, checking in every once in a while. And perhaps I would have done things differently in the past, but that's all irrelevant now and I can't regret any of it.

..
Also, I'd like it if perhaps anyone who is still playing the game here in 2011, or thinking of going back to it for a bit, *check in* this thread and let us know how it is and what's up, so that perhaps we can still manage some fun out the game one day.

I always think about it, but the truth is I'm too busy, and really don't like playing alone.

The makers of EQOA killed the game, not the players playing it. It was quite sad after ZP, there was no new content. (That I know of, havent played since 07) And after Frontiers there was no new expansion. Which was kind of weird seeing as how many people actually played the game back in the day. I dont see where things went wrong for them not to put out more expansions leading up to the PS3. This game would still be thriving today if they would just have cared about the community. I miss this game so much, it was my first MMO and the only one that has captivated me as far as what I like in a game. WoW cant even deliver what kind of fun this game brought to me. I just wish SOE, the developers, publishers etc, cared.

Jebus, I haven't played this game since... well its been so long I cannot remember. It's around a year after FFXI came out for PS2 in the US I remember.

I think about it now and again, it was afterall my very first MMORPG. I no longer have a PS2 but if I did I would find a copy of the game and vist sometime. I remember Halas well, and the time spent just mindlessly running around the game. Loved the bard.

Since then I have tried just about all MMO's on the market. While I spent the most time in WoW and FFXI, I can say I will not head back to WoW, as I enjoy the traditional MMO's more so. Group up, stand around and kill crap for hours.

Seriously, agree with both of you.

And especially if they would have kept this game on the console and added new content such as PvP in expansions to keep up with new games coming out this would have easily been a very popular crash crop still I bet..with a great community. There aren't very many Console MMO's and they can't really compete with EQOA anyways, especially if they would have just kept EQOA up to date. I agree

Think about the PS3's system performance too, imagine what kind of sick EQOA game they could have made for that if they could do what they did for PS2 even! lol

What if everyone in this thread decided to come back and make a guild together. How many of you would come back if all the others came back?

Myself and a couple other guys that post here have already come back. CLW actually does have a decent population, so its not really that hard to get a group. There's pretty much always someone on reg so if no one invites you, jjust invite them. Overall I've had a good time with my return. I've found some cool people and am able to level fairly quickly. I would say, if you are on the edge of giving it another try, just take the plunge. Worst case scenario, you find out its as bad as you thought it was and you're out 15 bucks. Not the end of the world lol

yah i was surprised at just how many people there still was. I am happy that i returned, even if there wasnt a vast population. Ive missed playing this game, so it just felt right. I have a lvl 22 warrior, and a 10/11 alc/cl DBing, now.

War - Bokiyastank
Alc - Bokiyasalch
Cl - Bokiyasheals

I will definitely be back in the next week or two! Does CLW have the best population? Or have they actually gone ahead with the server merger? If someone could fill me in with some details as to which sevrer is the most populated it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

There has been no merge, and CLW is the closest server to being not dead.

My wife and I just started playing on CLW. I have not played since 2004, and she had never played before. We both have multiple toons. I had almost forgotten how much fun the game was to play! Just wish I could find a couple of reasonably priced Frontiers discs!

well I was posting a question regarding FFXIV because I went back to FFXI and got bored...so I thought I'd poke my head in here. Yay for EQoA! I can't believe its still alive hahahaha

The worst thing about the game now, is that it is so hard to locate an unused copy of Frontiers for a reasonable price.

I used to play the game, but quit back in 2004. Now, I decided I want to start back up. The problem, my wife wants to play but we can not locate a New copy of Frontiers for her.

The non-Frontiers version is what we are playing at the moment...which is ok...but we are limited on what we can do once we hit 50.
