Welcome to GuildFans!

If you're a new member here, tell us a bit about yourself. How long have you been following Guild Wars 2? Did you play Guild Wars 1? What are your interests?

________________________

As well as Jeahr, I've more frequently gone by the username 'JR'. I've played Guild Wars since the beta preview weekends, and I'm massively excited for Guild Wars 2. I've also been involved in Guild Wars fansites for most of that time, and joining ZAM to work on GuildFans was a great move.

I'm most looking forward to seeing how the PvP shapes up, as that was my main focus in GW1, but I have no doubt I'll be hitting dungeons and dynamic events too. Right now my main character is probably going to be a human warrior by the name Major Jeahr.

Hi! I'm Micajah and I want to be a Guild Wars 2 addict. I played a decent amount of Guild Wars, but the lack of an open world turned me away after awhile. Right now I'm working on my Hall of Monuments so I can look awesome for the start of GW2.

Well, um... yeah, hi! Is this thing on? *tap*tap*

I'm a girl, and I game compulsively. I can't twitch-reflex to save my life but I'm not hopeless - I still keep away from PvP though since it sends my blood pressure through the roof.

I've been following Guild Wars 2 for a couple of months now and have the main site bookmarked so I can go back and watch the videos every now and again. I played Guild Wars for about... oh, a couple of weeks maybe but absolutely hated being all alone in these vast instances. I just couldn't get into it.

I'm really really hoping the GW2 and a persistent world will amaze me; I even went back again to try Guild Wars but immediately had the same sense of isolation. The one thing I really loved though was the skill sets and the graphics I did see, even if we're talking under level 10. It was just so pretty and so fluid. Being a girl, I can say that with impunity.

And uh.. no, I don't have a name picked out yet.

Mainly I play FFXI for my imersive MMO needs, but Guild Wars has long stood as my MMO of choice for speedy, casual play, and the place to go when I want a change of scenery. It's the only MMO I've played a lot other than FF.

I've always liked that you can get to end-game without too much effort and be able to enjoy the quests and areas of the game quickly, yet there's still plenty to do once you're at end game. It's a levelling model which works really well for the casual player. I've levelled a number of different characters to 20, and progressed with them through various story lines without getting bored. I loved that I could log on for 30 mins and achieve something - that's a lot harder on FF.

Started playing GW not long after it came out, but the slow pace of the orginal and the stark desolation of the Ascalon put me off and it got shelved. Bought the collectors edition of Factions the week it came out on a whim, and I was hooked immediately. Vibrant landscapes galore, good levelling and skill acquisition speed, and a superb well-ballance introduction area. I've since bought the entire series for my girlfriend too (who spends more time making characters than actually playing :P) and we have duod a load of content.

I have a lot of faith in the dev team, and can't wait for GW2. Quite a few of my friends plan to join me at release too, some who dabbled in GW1, some who are new. We all love the style of the art work, and I've always been impressed by the quality of the special events in GW - it always proved that the devs really cared about the game and wanted to keep it alive. We can expect more of that in 2 I'm sure :)

I still haven't decided on a race I'll start with, let alone a name :P

Alright then - I'm Kattar also known as Kat or Kat R. I've been involved with several Guild Wars fansites, as well as worked with JR for a few years now. Looking forward to getting things rolling here at ZAM and getting some more information on Guild Wars 2. Everything looks great up to now and I'm sure it will only get better as we keep going.

At the current moment I find myself hoping FFXIV gets better, and if it does, I won't lie, I'll probably play that.

However I played Guild Wars 1 when it came out and enjoyed it, but had to give it up due to RL.

I heard about GW2 a few months ago however and I was hooked. The devs approach to the game and the screens and movies that I've seen look great. It looks to be a dynamic, fast paced game.

I am the Real Ravious (tm)(c)(patent pending)!

I love MMOs and all things Guild Wars, and I write for a menial blog called Kill Ten Rats. As I speak I am farming Skree Wings so I can finish off the miniatures in the Hall of Monuments. The Black Moa Chick will be #50, praise Kormir. So yeah... I'm pretty much hooked.

Good evening, gentlemen.

I am Murikan, but also Theocrat (other networks), and also Faer (also other networks). Long time player of Guild Wars and contributor to the community surrounding the game, I have worked with JR and Kattar for some years now and am pretty much cooler than both of them combined, as much as they might try and refute it. You can infer from this that I've been following GW2 development since the day it was announced, naturally. You can also infer that I am a master of all things Internet, because I discovered their new hiding place without either of them informing me that they were even hiding (a matter which we will have to discuss at length later, with the aid of a baseball bat).

My interests include playing video games, talking about video games, and buying my girlfriend things (mostly video games) when she isn't looking just to make her upset that I am spending money on her.

*sigh* I miss using Racthoh already. :(

Played from 05 to... 08, lead a guild, was a moderator here and there, did some other stuff, you know how it is with these sorts of games.

<---- That's who I am. :)

I've been working on fansites for almost a decade now (ouch!) I am very happy to join the community at ZAM and seeing what wonderful things can happen here.

Long gaming history starting with the ultimate - Duke Nukem - back when I was kid. You'll hear me go on and on about my first-MMO-love Asheron's Call though. It started my entire downward spiral into the world of MMO's and I've been addicted ever since. Very much looking forward to Guild Wars 2 and seeing what my favorite developer, ArenaNet, can bring us.

Hey folks,

Recognising many faces from other places - wondered what you were all doing :P

I'm an old Guild Wars player that's migrating to Guild Wars 2. I'm involved with a Guild Wars 2 podcast called Relics of Orr, as well as hosting a Guild Wars radio show on Split Infinity Radio. My main interests for Guild Wars 2 are casual PvP, crafting and dungeons.

Can't wait to see how the next few months shape up.

Heyall, I thought I'd drop by and introduce myself a bit aswell. My (not-so-real) name's Dutch Sunshine, I'm 18 years old, currently finishing up high school and preparing to go to university or the likes. I'm the project-lead of GuildMag, a magazine, podcast and much more by the community for the community(more later) and a casual Guild Wars player.

Just like the rest of you I'm in high anticipation of Guild Wars 2 and cannot wait to get my hands on the real thing (after trying the demo)

Hope that's enough and else, you can always ask me for more details (which will likely not happen anyway so yeah).

Ohai there!

I am Jonny10 and I like unicorns (preferably pink and fluffy, dancing on rainbows is a pré). I plan to waste my life in GW2, I'm restraining myself from picked a profession/race for my first character because there are still four professions left to be revealed. I have a fantastic history in GW1 but can't find the concentration to sum it all up atm.

I can vouch for pretty much half of the people above me that they are the awesomemest.
