I"m a 45 pally. I would like some info. on what is the best cafted armor to have made. any info or insight would be great.

Most likely Plate Heartsblood Alloy with Black Sapphire Jewelry. Although it would cost you a LOT of money.
I'd wait for new armor till 48. At 48 you must get Heartsblood Alloy Plate armor.
Also at 50...despite the horrible druability...you might want to get your lvl 50 IoD armor.
Possibly if you are rich enough you can get your lvl 50 Master Crafter armor but that might cost upwards of a few mil.

beings your 45 Imperial plate is the best thing you can get and it can be used up to 55 or so
but if you don't want that heartsblood armor and star ruby jewelry is the next best thing

Heartsblood Armor and Agility Jewelry, Heartsblood for hp,ac,ar and agility to make most things hit min so you don't die.
