NEW TO SWG-some answers pleaseFollow
I played SWG when it first came out but only for 2 weeks and then dropped it because of lagg from dial up an low memory. I have upgraded to cable, 1gig memory and am thinking about buying the total experience for the piloting.Can you start out training as a pilot or are there requirements first? Also, what is a friendly-low to medium populated server? I want to solo alot and dont mind the occasional scrap but want to level up skills fairly unmolested. In EQ there were always twinks and pk guilds making getting past the first 30 levels a b*#ch. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

No requirements for pilot...simply walk up to the pilot trainer of the faction you wanna fly for, and say "I wanna fly."
My main characters are on Sunrunner and Intrepid. Both have pretty good populations. You don't havfta worry about PvP unless you make yourself PvP active.
With that being said, enjoy.

Soloing is much harder now than before as the developers like to see us group but it is still possible, just harder.
soloing was overpowered b4 cu now it is perfect. you just have to know what you are doing.
You can't use pets to pull single creatures from an group any more so soloing just got harder.

Umm pulling a single mob with pet still works. I was using it in a group all the time with CU. So you may wanna try it again.
