I am thinking of doing the commando profession (Have Carbineer, Master Brawler) - what are the pro/cons of doing this vs pistols or rifles?

Well right now Im MCommando/MCarbines, and CM 4/x/x/x. The plasma flame thrower I use, has a higher DPS and Damage. But I dont shop around much. I think its jus kewl to use heavy weapons and get better nades. There are no special attacks with commandos and I think every weapon is AE. But I have not died yet due to nades or AE yet.
