I recently tried out the overt special forces, that allows you to PVP versus other players.

Well, two times I was caught off guard and pretty much slaughterd. Forgot I was overt.

The third time, the person got in the first hit, but I wasn't caught off guard. Of course, he won, rather quickly. They were all Jedis.

I'm combat level 80, and so where the rest of the guys.

Anyway, my question is since we're all the same combat lvl, what makes these people so much better than me? Am I doing something wrong or what? I assumed two lvl 80's going at it had about a 50/50 chance. From the looks of it, I have about a 20% chance to their 80%. I'm a master carbineer, master squad leader. Spliced E11 Advanced carbine, all the good stuff, etc.

What can I do to improve my chances?

Eat the right food, get all the buffs you can and know your moves inside and out. You need to learn exactly what each move available to you does and when the best time is to use it. Your tactics will be different depending on what template you are fighting. The best way to do this is to find someone who knows what they are doing and get them to teach you.
Also fight a lot and examine the combat logs after to see exactly what happened. Then adjust your tactics the next time and hope you do better.

Oh yeah, and become a Jedi lol.
