If I buy the SWG Total Experience and install it on a new computer, will I still be able to log into my main account I've been playing on my old computer? Do I just need my log-in name/password, or do I need to tranfer any files to the new computer?

Your character is stored on SOE's servers not your computer. You can log in and play on any computer that has SWG installed. The only thing stored on your computer is your macros and personal settings. so you might want to copy those over if you don't want to do them all over again.
I think you want the profiles folder in your main star wars galaxies folder but I'm not sure I've never had to move it.
