I havn't read all the posts so hopefully I'm not being repetitive..... but it depends on the mobs you're facing. For normal mobs like wildlife and humans etc I prefer melees..... but for the fantasy mobs like certain dragons or say parathior i'd go with a caster for the CR/FR/LR nukes. I have a sorcerer friend that claims his MCA FR nuke hit para for 9999 - melee can't do that ever. But in general, if a melee is hitting high on every swing I think they would do a lot more damage than a caster. I mean, my 35 rge melees dfc mobs for over 300 per swing. Like I said, it all depends on the mobs.

Most dragons are in planes and theyre only representations of Dragons like QoV and how hand of thule represents Cazic Thule. Other dragons are in Toxxilia and Box caynons. There all evil and will kill anything in site
If they were evil why would the attack a D elf SK, dragons are like some wild life, not good or evil, just like carnage or defending their treasure. They are more self absorbed then being evil.

Evil doesnt mean that the evil thing is freindly to other evil creatures. Dark elves have a grudge against all other races, evil or not even though there not always hostile against them.

Well, I'd prefer a bard or enc on my nec. But on my tank, I like wizzys and alcs. However, at 55+ it seems most people like necs/mages in their groups.

To me, a battery always gets first pick.

Personally i think a caster DD is the best, and in my opinion, Wizards are the strongest casters in the game, if built right. Casters damage is almost always consitant where a melees damage is within a range. The only time a caster's damage is incosistant is when somthing has a resistance to the element of the spell, then the caster can just switch off to another element and be fine. Another thing that i have experienced is that a well built wizard will go oom a little less then a well built rogue, this is just cause how i played, might not be same as how someones else builds there wizard. i have a 60 sorcerer who went mana path and his mana is usually really high and because of that he has more PoT thus allowing me to chain cast my spells for a longer period of time.

is thier a max to PoT?
#65 Jun 27 2005 at 11:37 PM Rating: Decent
I doubt there is a maximum because the when the druid turns into the Tree it gets +500 or so PoT. But i know that it can't get that high without buffs. Equipment with PoT is added up oddly as far as i have experienced so far. You get the total of the piece of equipment with the highest PoT then the 2nd highest you get half and from there on its like 1 or 2 reguardless of how much it says. So i take it you can get it up to like 100-150? if you were to buy all the cms that raise PoT and have a high power.. not exactly sure but this is what i think it is from what i have had so far...

The Formula for PoT is:
100% of your highest Item with PoT on it
10% of the second highest Item
and 1 PoT for every other item with PoT

I like Enchanters as a favorite DD of mine. They can give loads of PoT, and depending on where they are, their damage types can vary. They can grab a strong melee hitter, or an even stronger casting mob. Plus, if built correctly, they can rip through anything in sight.
#76 Jun 28 2005 at 9:06 PM Rating: Default
Enchanters dont relay start being realy awsome until they can charm hydras and Raging rhinos. They are the best chartmers and can charm the highest mobs and have the charms last the longest of any other class that can charm, The only prolbem i have with enchanters is that they have a low HP and tend to be paper unless you invest alot into hp and some sta.
