ima bout to jet jump to lightspeed but i have a major issue. What pilot class can i take? Im currently an imperial but want nuetral pilot. Having daid that i want to do imperial space missions. Is this possible. Can i earn imperial faction points while flying a nuetral craft? If i take imperial pilot cna i later choose to give it up for nuetral?

Any help would be hot.

You can be nuetral while being imperial but you can not take imperial missions. You will not get faction points in space killing rebel starships. You get faction points when you complete faction missions. So if you want imperial faction points in JTL you need to be an imperial pilot.

Actually, you can get Imperial faction by just declaring in space and killing Rebel ships. You cannot take missions against Rebels though. I was able to declare Rebel as a Privateer, head to Kessel and gain faction points for killing Imperial ships.

To get faction points in space you have to go to a faction station and declare your self to your chossen faction, then you can gain faction points for killing opposing factions, but be warned this opens you up to being killed by other overt players in space.

As with all pilot trees you will be connected to some faction at some point, this will mean you can't shoot at this faction (like shooting a pc ship you get that annoying noice) and i know some of them change aliances as you progress.

I think for freelance that faction is all dependent on where you start. I know i starting on tat can't shoot hutts, but can shoot either rebs or imps, but on another account where i started on corro i couldn't shoot ties :(

But as i have neve been an imp pilot and am a rebel sympathetic freelance pilot i dont know about getting imp missions.

One last word though, i dont know if this has been rectified yet as i am not yet a master of either of my choosen factions (mainly do you lazyness on my behalf,) but as a master freelance pilot i don't think you can get in to deep space

also if you wana try your hand at space asteroid mining, neutral is possibly the 2nd best, while imp is the worst starfighters for mining.

need a ship with atleast 2 guns. 1 mining laser, 1 tractor beam. but having normal guns along is even better for self defence.

ALL imp ships only have a max of 2 guns, while freelance have 3, and rebel B-wing has 4.

Rebel can be rebel pilot or freelance
Imp can be Imp pilot or freelance
Nautral can only be freelance

rebel/non naboo can get the ARC starfighter

Nu uh, Neutral can be anything. I have an Imp pilot who is neutral on the ground and a Rebel pilot who is neutral on the ground. The only restriction is that if they choose to later pick up a faction it has to be the one they have the piloting skill in.
