Probably the fact that it's a better game than FFXI. Before you flame me know that I've played both, and my FFXI account WILL NOT rebill on Jan. 6th. Honestly, FFXI was fun until I hit level 10, then it became monotonous to level. I don't mind grouping, but I like soloing mostly, just can't do that in FFXI. In every version of EQ so far, yes, I play all 3 of them, you can solo and feel like you're getting somewhere. The economy in FFXI is screwed up since Japan had the game nearly 2 full years before NA, and they had millions of gil built up so they could basically control the economy. The elitist attitude of *MANY* FFXI players is astounding. People trying to tell you how to play *YOUR* character drive me nuts, and the lack of acceptance if you don't follw the *sheeple* boggles my mind. Basically, I want a game to play my way, at my own pace, without hundreds of people whipping out their e-peen to show how *uber* they are.

I totaly agree that FFXI economy is screwed up and that it is basically impossible to solo in FFXI especially with my Hard lvling job. EQOA sounds nice and i think i might start playing EQ2 if things don't shape up. Another thing, what's the enviroment like in EQ? I Started out in the snowy mountin place as a barbarian i think (haven't played since April) Is it graphiaclly appealing to the eye is what i want to know.

I played eqoa until FFXI came out, i love FF so it was a given. While i like the complexity of it TO AN EXTENT - the reason i am now back on EQOA and am cancelling my FF is almost entirely because of the player base. I played to lvl 55 blmge, and felt like i had to pay people to rez, to warp, to help me - even guildies. The community in FF is horrible, very selfish and immature. The eqoa community is amazing, for the most part people are willing to help and give advice, and i actually feel like i have friends on EQOA.

The economy is the reason for that. Because spells are so expensive, people feel they have to make their money back by charging for Raise, or even teleports. You've already spent the money on the fu[red][/red]cking spell, why charge? Had I been able to stick it out, I was going to start offering free teleports, raises, whatever people normally charge for. Alas, the game got real crappy for me. There is a higher level of immaturity than *ALL* other games, and that does suck. The kids playing FFXI do not know how to cooperate, and get mad when something happens, which is their own fault. It's amazing I stuck it out as long as I did.
