my son is building a warrior and is getting alittle down. What set of armor should he have, he's lvl 29. Any other info about War would greatly be appreciated
I used crafted armor from 25 till 27 when I got my 27 quest item, Cobalt Breast Plate. My AC is now about ~800ish.
A couple pieces of ankextet are pretty good...legs and bracers i think. also dun breastplate but i dont know if thats better than crafted....besides those id go with crafted.

what gems would be good for crafted items
depends on the stats you want. (Before reading next part realize that im not good with gem names)
i think its....lazulite? Yeah. That's a good one for agi and sta.
and maybe some enstatite, for sta and str. I think thats a good combo of gems. mostly lazulite and some enstatite -or- a str only gem

You cant forget Sinhatie and Rhodizite also. Sinahlite for str and Rhodizte for Sta.
Hba is prolly the best crafted armor but also the most expensive.
Hand pounded looks like good armor for that level.
I would just stick with Crafted for a couple of levels. Cheaper on the bank.
Make sure he stays on the same path come lvl 30. Switching paths mid way thru isnt a good thing.
Sta, agi are the two most important stats. Str is a good thing but you want to keep them balanced.
Str mods taunt, Sta hp and hot, agi ac and how much melee dmg you take.
Dex wouldnt hurt a warrior, just dont go overboard, I say no more than 120 base dex.
A plus warriors have over pallies and sks is the dual wield ability, you can gain alot of stats from two weapons over one.

Yes but Pallys and Sks can use sheild and a 1hand wepon to get more stats. A War can also use sheild but you mostly see pallys with them cause of sheild abilitys.
I don't know about you, but I found the shield abilities to be a. not all that great, and b. extremely mana intensive. I would much rather save my mana for taunting than having an extra attack. The AC boost is nice, but you can find better armor to make up for it IMO. Oh, and to reply to the OP, my War is 25, I'm using a blend of 17, 23, and 25 quest armor. Probably not bother with crafted until 28.
