1 gig would do it, but you better make sure your motherboard can handle it first.

I run 768 and i only get lag in a few spots in Coronet.

Definately a gig. I experience no lag at all with one small exception. I see lag when I enter or exit the starport in Coronet. I do not experience any lag when I'm in the starport or in the cantinas in Coronet or anywhere else; just when I'm entering or exiting.

I had 512 once and now that I have a gig I never have any problems unless things get real hectic, or of course when Coronet is busy.

I would suggest getting the extra RAM.

i have 512 as well and let me tell you its a pain in the ***. everytime i get to a city its stop and go with the lag.
