.. Group with an Enchanter or a Bard?
Just interested. On my alts i've taken i stronger liking to grouping with bards... maybe it's just because that's my main.

it depends lol. i like them both.
I prefer bards at the lower levels 1-39. 40+ I prefer enchanters, that know how to play their toon right. Most of the time alot of enchanters dont seem to know what they are doing.

I like Enchanter alot more 1 - 19.
Also sometimes you can get an area where the Enchanter can Charm a strong DD mob, such as;
(All types of) Wisps, Other caster Mobs, RR, ECT.
Also better when an alchemist is in the group.

Well personally, I like bards (as a tank) at lower lvls. But at higher lvls I like encs that went the power transfer path. Really helps sometimes, a lot more then bards do. But really, if both of them are on a lfg list, I wouldn't care too much. Maybe encs a little more because they can get anywhere (at a certain lvl)

Reasons i like Bards:
-GROUP Power-Buffs. so everyone is getting even amounts. And once your bard is 30, you don't have to wait for the buffs! The bard can chain his buffs so it is always up (Except for the 3 or 4 seconds imbetween it takes to cast it).
-Damage. My bard has Max Str/Dex, High damaging Weaps (421) that have proc too (proc hits about 100 each time it goes off).
-SoW/Invis. To help save the group when you have a Clr healer (No SoW). And so you can travel if you have no casters and Drd/Sham.
-Vertile. HoT buffs allow easy-ness with Healerless groups. Damaging/Mana in normal groups.
OverAll they are even, but those are the reasons i perfer grouping with (on alts) and being a bard.

I like enchanters on raids when im MTin but when im not Bards.
I dont like enc due to there lack of damage. But in eg a bard out does a enc any day in a pet group. Do to a bard can tank them and the enc is oom
I always liked having a bard in the group more then an enc. Idk why exactly, because they are both fine choices. But some reasons are just that bard gives group str/dex and buffs of that sort not just power regen. Before enc started getting good, bards regens seemed to be better then encs. And I would rather have a quading bard than a chaincasting enc in my group for some reason, or atleast once I made my bard.
Though I realize many bards don't do that much dmg because they focus more on sta/agi then str/dex....and that just bothers me. But if there's good bards like Bon, Sin, Dark, Me, and Dirges too (sorry if I missed you) then I would rather group with one of them then with a enc. More dmg I'd say.

Most bards think they don't have to do any damage. They want to just sit back and buff.
It's fun doing almost as much damage as a rogue or monk then making the group mana, i feel important!

Exactly! ....but uhh, take out monk from there lol.
Monks just kick our *** in dmg, I mean, single handed.
Funny this question comes up now, when I've been contemplating posting about which I prefer. Last time I tanked higher level, my group had a Bard first, then Bard had to leave so I found a Chanter. My experience? The Bard did good on keeping my mana up, however the Chanter did better. So guess I have to say that I prefer Chanters over Bards. Usually after buffs and taunting, with the Bard power usually kept myself steady at 3 bubbles of mana. With the Chanter it was kept at 4 bubbles.

1.Awesome damage if built right (my bard beat 3 monks and a rouge the other day in an aggro contest, all were 35-38)
2.GROUP power abilities (Enchanter power is target only)
3.Enchanters don't really do any damage , there proc buff's do NOT equal bard's damage
4. Bards get sow/invis, str/dex buffs, hot buffs and agi/ac buffs
5.Bards are good in group or solo

Depending on how many people are on and the time of the day (when most people are on).
When i am usually on:
1 - 10 Mins.
I usually group with a friend (Bonscott's Warrior) where we usually do great kills.

Yes, but i never use them. Kind of useless. DoTs way to weak too much mana. AC Debuffs just too little of a Debuff to be worth it.
Remember Zizoe, this is not a "What's better" thread. Because none of them are the best. But i was just wondering what you wanted to group with.

it depends on lv... once the enc can charm a raging rhino or ebony recluse or some other mob that owns then i'd prefer them... but until then i want the bard as long as he does more than juts power buff

to the person who said they have an aggro contest with the other uh, DDs.. Bards will own, hit the group heal, ****, aggro can be yours without even doing any specials.
