This may seem strange that I decided to post this basic info. But due to an unnamed level 60 hero I grouped with last night, and his friend that likes to shout out in EG I figured I should.

There are four Epic Path Quest's. They are 20, 30, 40, and 49. At one point there was an extra non-specialized 49 that no longer exists.

My point is simply this. The 49 is not the only "EPIC"!!

If you do not understand or are somewhat confused please refer to the Table of contents under EPIC QUESTS in Prima's official strategy guide. Just incase you don’t have this I will type it out for you.

Epic Quests................................368
Epic Path Quest For Good Races (Group 1) ..368
Epic Path Quest For Good Races (Group 2) ..371
Epic Path Quest For Good Races (Group 3) ..373
Epic Path Quest For Evil Races (Group 4) ..374
Epic Path Quest For Evil Races (Group 5) ..377
Epic Path Quest For Evil Races (Group 6) ..380

Wrong. You can only have 1 weapon of *EPIC* status.

Point proven if you're going to take what was written in that book. The defense rests.

Someone has confused "Path" quests for epic. Path Quests are 20, 30, 40 - epic is only at 49. The Defense rests.

As x said the 20, 30, and 40 quests are path quests not EPIC's. The only thing they have to do with your epic quest is what path's you choose. They determine your reward at your epic, meaning you get a pretty nice spell reward for completeing your epic if you follow the same path.
As far as the prima bok is concerned, well I almost bought one, then I realized this is an online game and game dynamics are constantly being updated. So what was once true in the prima guide is no longer true. Also the book was published by a company other then SOE. Its second hand info and sometimes its wrong.

Scroll up, you'll see that I agreed with you before you even posted. It annoys me that there is confusion as to what an *EPIC* weapon means. It also annoys me that so many people take what the Prima book says as gospel.

i dont know about you but everyone i've talked to on EQOA considers 20 30 and 40 path quests... not of "Epic" proportion. and i fully agree witht hat... it's a pc version thing to call them all epics.... you based this post from information in the guide... but that guide is so messed up i cant help but wonder why it even got printed... then need to get an eqoa educated editor to revise it and then re print it. the NPCs in the game dont cinsider the quests epic and i dont either. i will continue to call them path quests because there is only one lv of questing important enough for me to consider of epic proportion. unless they create a 59 or 64 epic in the future sometime with an expansion.

In PC there are no *path* quests. Epics are truly epics. In PC there is you 1.0, 1.5, and now with the level cap increase 2.0 epics. All are 50+ I think. I personally feel now that EQOA is capped at 60, that your Epic quest should be triggered at 50 rather than 49. Call me a purist, but it makes sense. If your paths are 20, 30, 40, then your epic should be 50.
