My advise is a little different. Pump int until 20, or atleast keep even with dex, this way you can keep your damage lower until tanks get their second taunt at 24. Int is better for power then dex and you should get a good base this way. Then at 20 you can focus on getting your damage up so that it is caught up to your power by the time the tank gets provoke, but I like to live so this is my preference.
A few other things pay attention to your type of spells, you have 4 damage types sustained/blast/nuke/aoe. What ever you do dont open up your attacks in a group with your nukes, they are the massive damage spells that have the 3 minute recharge, casting them before the mob is half dead in groups can get you killed. Aoes I find are a waste unless you are farming greens.
And before you ask there is no 17 arcane bonds, that is the lvl 23 mages qst spell. But wizzies do get a few more roots in the 45+ game.
