AFK XPFollow

So the other day I was out with my bard soloing at DFC. I was camped out on the side of the citadel where the trader stands. To my amazement low and behold a 40 Mage was afk'in in the middle of dfc, killing the trader!!! I have no problem with afk xp'in as I have a 19 mage and have afk xp'ed.I was there for at least 1-2hrs and not one person shouted at the guy.So my question is,do people not care about AFK'in anymore? In the past whenever I attempt to AFK xp I wind up getting trained, and I do it in the middle of the night andin remote spots. This guy was AFK'in in the middle of the day and no one seemed to care, AWESOME!!!

the key to AFK xping is to be in a city and a spot noones usually at, if your above that wktanns are also good because they are rarely xped on, my necro afks by himself in the dwarf citadel inside blackburrow tunnel, i camp 2 mobs and my 34 pet takes them down pretty easy

I don't think his post was even that bad though, nothing worth flaming.

I've never reported anyone for afk'ing. However if someone is afking in a camp I want to xp at, then I train them. I dont feel bad about it because technically it is against the rules. I see alot of people afking on guards, especially Neriak guards, and I do nothing to them. So more power to them, idc how they xp as long as it doesn't effect me. Take the deathfist trader for instance, that isnt a mob I would want to xp on so I would leave him at it.

Yes, I agree if I needed that mob for my quest I would train in a heartbeat. So that just seems like a death wish.

I've yet to ever see anybody AFKing. Tried it once my self, but I never felt comfortable just leaving my toon in at the mercy of the game.

why farm the qst mob, it would be because the trader is against the wall by them selves. It would be little risk to stand by them and let your pet kill it. To the idiot that said if they needed the item they would train them, that is one of the stupidest things said here. Why waste the time to train them, and risk with an account suspension, when all you have to do is loot the corpse htey just saved you having to kill a mob for a little done qst.

good point... but some people also like to xp there as they are a lil higher than most deathfists.. with the trader and the fireguy...idk.. ive xped there before by the fire. but also there are a hundred other mobs throughout the game the same lvl that they can afk at.. not a good choice imo..

I actually laughed out loud when I read this. I was the idiot that posted that comment. Look I dont know how things are done on other servers but, on PPO the GM's (assuming they even exisist) dont do ****. I have only known of a small hand full of people to ever get suspended on PPO. Secondly, who the **** is going to report me? The afk'er on my quest mob?????? Look you do things your way and I will do them mine.

IT is still stupid to train someone when you can just loot the item, it is not like their is a requirement to kill the mob. Second that does not mean someone hasnt reported the afker and that a GM is not there seeing if they are afking. But risking debt when it is so easy to loot the item is extremly stupid

BTW do you even know what qst this is for, or why I said it is a little done qst?

What qst this item is for. Now I wont tell people not to do this qst, but most people dont fo it since the rewards are terrible. I dont even believe this afk was even interfering with anyones qst.

And just to point out I have had a brown scale earing drop offo fo a common mob.

AFKing on quest mobs... if a afk'er is working this mob, then he wont mind if you slide in there and KS you a mob! hehe, wat he gonna do, report you?

AFKing at popular GROUP spots, no way... I no like it, a lot of others no like... no no

AFKing at remote spots... OK, cool, just dont do it on a mob that peeps farms to get a rare drop! no no...

There needs to be a place setup just for AFK'ers. A place where they can do thier thang, which offers no incentive for grps to work...that is, no loot drops. A place where if grps do work it, the AFK'ers can report THEM!!!!!hehe

Oh yeah baby...one good turn deserves another!
