I remember seeing reference to "Life Day" somewhere before, but can't remember what I read..... In game terms I assume it's just gonna be some NPC we go talk to and maybe do a little quest or something to get a cutely named piece of food or something? Any one know any details about it?
Some of the Wookiees decided they didn't need a day off afterall. Players on Bria, Scylla and Naritus may start Life Day celebrations! =)

What exactly happens at Life Day?
You get to learn about it from the Wookies then they give you a gift if you have been playing for 30 days or more.

There a few different gifts. My two chars each got a different painting, a friend got yet a different painting. Wookies it seems get to pick a gift one of which is a red robe for wookies like the Life Day Wookies wear.
I heard a rumor that this can be done more than one time. Any truth to that? I wouldn't mind getting an orb to go with my painting...

I don't know if there is a way to do this multiple times but I did it from Anchorhead first, got my painting and thenn went to Vreni Island. The wookie said welcome back glad you could celebrate life day with us or something like that and he didn't give me another waypoint. Also when I talked to the other wookies after getting my gift they just said the same thing they said the first time.
ive been taking the lives of wookies all day and still no reward, am i doing something wrong?

By now I hope everyone has seen the Friday Feature on the Life Day gifts that are currently available in-game. While traveling to this celebration is not 100% safe, no combat is required and the quest is super-simple. Every character that is older than 30 days should be able to head out and get a cool gift. If you don't get the gift you wanted there are plenty of people willing to trade.
You will be able to get your gift until at least the New Year. We will make an announcement as to what day the quest will end probably around January2nd.
Swoop Races
Next week will see the addition of three new swoop races to give you something to strive for over the holiday. More on that when it occurs. I'm sure the tracks will be very busy the first few days or weeks, so don't expect to get a race badge right away! We have adjusted the races to allow a tie to grant both racers a badge if it is the fastest of the day, so the early morning crowd won't hog the badges.
Player Events
There will be a ton of holiday player events between now and the first couple weeks of January. We hope everyone will try to attend or run a player event. We need to support the player organizers out there!
Event Team Player Requests
Our calendar is currently full from now thru the New Year. If you have an event planned already, you are still on the schedule. We just will not be scheduling any more support for player events during that time.
As we did during Thanksgiving we will be temporarily turning off the event PMs to prevent a huge back-log of messages and requests while various team members take their vacations. The PMs will be turned off from the 22nd of December thru the 2nd of January.

If you speak to the Life Day wookiees and your inventory is full, you will not get a gift. If this happens, please submit a ticket to have your settings fixed. I apologize for any hassle this may cause.
