Is this possiable, if it is then i imagne that necromancers would do it best (charm undead cm) in this case it would be worth it because they would be like lvl 65 pet rather than the final 55 one that is a replica of a sk.
i dont believe this is possible since most charm spell require u too charm a creature WEAKER than u so id say no but i could be wrong
Dreads r lvl 55 so if you were 60 you could. But since its a unique quest mob you cant charm it.
Yeah I'm pretty sure charming a dread is impossible. O and they are only level 55 not 65. Man, imagine trying to kill a lvl 65 dread pre-fronteirs. Nobody would be on IoD. LOL.
BUT If charming a dread was possible that would so tight. I would make a nec or enchanter just to do it.

Yea i asked this question a few weeks/months ago... it would be soooooo cooool to charma dread... but what would happen if charm went off!
if i had charmed a dread, i would take it to a city and just start killing guards... it would be sooo much fun, like freeport. where everyone could see or HP. but then after i was done, i would have to go get factin bac=/

yeh the bad thind is...you cant charm:
Vox, Skyhird (sp?), Silkisor (sp? again), Naggy (no shyt but), acutally any dragon, dreads, named guys in IoD, amost everything in PoS, same w/ LS, terortorantula, crocasouras, and anything to do with a qst.

No you CANNOT charm a dread....the highest level of charming to my knowledge is up to level 54...and that would be a level 60 char...most likely an enchanter...sinc our characters were made for charming...
Most quest mobs (named ones) and mobs such as dreads (raid mobs) were made so you cannot charm them...reason being exactly what you are talking about...someone draging it into freeport (like the spellbinder with the Mjorkann giant) and just killing everything or getting others killed...
And not everything takes to charm...infact most mobs reject it...so even if you can get close enough not to aggro mind you..you may not be able to charm it...
However good news...if you are a spellbinder with the oh so semi permament charm...you can charm a breathstealer from IoD...however I dont think you can take it anywhere...lol

the necs charm isnt that strong as an enchanters, thier charm is like the druids charm, it works on very few mobs and doesnt last long
lvl 60 Enchanters can only charm mobs up to lvl 54.
to my knowledge the strongest mob to ever be charmed would be the Hand of Thule

o ya Dreads r qst mobs btw (u get a qst from Norach (sp?) to go kill one). NO QST MOBS CAN BE CHARMED. maybe low lvl ones but none of the higher ones.

i know this is realllllyyyyy old but enchs can charm up to lvl 58, and to the best of my knowledge a toxic breath from toxxulia is the best pet :)

You used to be able to charm dreads from what I remember. you can charm things in IoD and there is a way to get them to Tunaria.. I don't remember the exact place you go in IoD but I know the trick required you to be binded in Klick and you have to run to a specific spot in IOD and return home and run where ever you wanted to go with it from there :o

Did not read a good majority of the post so if someone mentiomed this already I apologize.. But to my knowledge a spellbinder can charm some lv 58 mobs.. My SB has 500Int 545Cha and can charm a lv58 Iron Crawler in lavastorm have yet to try any other dark blues but to my knowledge can charm up to lv58

most dreads are lvl 51 i think. and when they had the new ench,brd charms revisions in 07 or 09 you were able to charm the dreads. i remember taking to tfg's and killing the whole camp. send in dread to aoe all and wiz aoe all = 1 hit kill. But as fun as it was it only lasted a short time before being fixed.

The way it used to be was you had to bind yourself in certain cities to bring a charmed mob from IoD. used to charm on my bard and return home to klickanon
