Why am I still playing...Follow

Right now I am an Imperial Covert grinding XP to become a Master Pistoleer with a little Smuggler and Teras Kasi thrown in. I am not a Power Gamer and not a HoloGrinder, so it's a nice slow going pace for me.

But my problem is that my sole reason for grinding to learn these skills is for no reason other than to learn these skills. It is "Grinding for Grindings" sake. There is no overall PURPOSE to it.

There are also MANY features that contradict and unbalance the game, even though many people love them. Player Vendors unbalance the Galactic Bazaar, which would have been a great sales venue on its own. Credits from Mission terminals are exceedingly unbalancing in a Tradeskill-Based Economy. Battle Fatigue and Wounds need to be healed in a city, but now that there are SO MANY Player cities it thins everything out, unless you go to Coronet. And for the type of game it wants to be (social MMORPG in a fast paced PVP environment) it is simply too damn big.

I have played other MMORPG's before, and though I won't name names, have only ever found one that actually has NOTHING wrong with it. It is refreshing to play a game (not SWG) without having to complain or worry about nerfs.

I am hoping against hope that SWG becomes the game I want it to be, because it is STAR WARS and by all measure SHOULD be great. I just don't have much faith in SOE anymore.
