LTB ALL gems for 600!!!!!
NOWAY!

I am seeing a trend maybe... Peeps wanting to buy yer gems at reduced prices of 500-750 tunars. Please, just tell these peeps that you will not sell them your gems for that price! Maybe it will shame them in going away!

The way I see it...u want to buy me gems...u WILL pay me 1000 apiece. PERIOD!

Sorted gems I will sell for a min of 1200.
Rare gems I will sell for 5000.
If I cant sell em for that, I WILL sell them to a merchant before I let some greedy chump get em.

Greed of peeps still amaze me!

Not trying to start none wit ya Sing but gems are only worth what the buyer is paying and 5k for rares is a bit outlandish rares arent worth the trouble of buying b/c they're always a pain in the neck to use. i just w8 till i know the big tunar buyers are on then i go into town and sell.

I agree whole heartly Sing. And there are plenty of knowledgable crafters around who are more than willing to buy rares at 5k. Mistwalker on PPO is good for that with Jewelry gems, as is Mr Ocean with weaps.

I'm really not so hardset about rare gem prices... if I know the buyer, I let'em go for 1k.

But, I will never sell a gem or alloy for less than 1k! Nope... never... will sell them to merchants first.

as a crafter theres many reasons for buying gems at different rates.

as a lvl 7 armor i make about 1500 tunar from a crafted piece of armor with a common gem (selling to a merchant

i buy them for about 1000

this leaves me with a 500 profit but however armor isnt always created with the first try sometimes takes two or three times.

after buying crafting for a hour i make about 100k using 500k buying armor gems

if you buy for more then you well get more customers

I agree with you sing, but when my inv AND bank are full with gems i dont care what they sell for. i hate it when ihave like 40 gems and all i can sell them for is 5oot a piece.

o yea Crii i grped with you Feb the 13 friday, you are super cool!!

I usually hold rare gems like blue diamonds and starfire rubys. eventially i can sell em for 5k. As for other more common gems i try to give those to other group members while xpn. I request armor gems. Im lvl 10 armorer so i pay for repairs and profit some this way.
I also buy armor gems and always offer 1k. Usually ill give a bonus for alloys or a good quantity. But i dont announce this. Just a nice suprise for those who do business with me. Most of the time i buy when somneone is buying all gems or specific gems for under 1k. At least i can help releave the stress for those who only wish for a fair price.
Selling can be quite profitable. Ofcourse these do stack. and if someone offered me a stack of 50 for 1100 tunar each i would most likley take it. Do the math thats a lot of tunar.
Not that i would ever make an alt bank(wink wink)but these might come in handy for storing gems.
Ya dont sweat that ya let that

I agree with sing except fot the 1200 T for sorted gems. I mean is ti that hard just to put up a certain kind of gem.

Ive made it a habit to arrange my gems prior to selling. I even do it in the field. That way if someone is paying more for assorted gems there ready and i can skip over them. And sell the others quickly. Thats if i have any others than armor with which I craft.

I don't understand the whole "sorted gems" thing. For the most part wep, armor, and tailoring gems end w/ the same ending (ite, ine, and studs) and jewelery are the weird ones lol. Some of the rares ones dont follow this pattern, but after crafting lvl 5 in all catagories you remember what gems are for what tradeskill, right?

Yes sorting is easy, once you learn what gems go for what. You can also use eqoatrade.com to help sort, it doesnt do tailoring but it does the rest ok. How I feel is the easyiest way to sort is to use the bank, put all of on kind in and when you get them seperated pull them out again. This also works with a full bank, since the gem ends up on the bottom of the inventory screen. I just find doing this is easier then trying to use the manual inventory sort option.

Im sure you will have a tendancy to remember which gems are for which craft, if you craft in all. I have to ask are you using one charactor to craft all of these? Or have you spread them out amongst all your charactors?
Because im a sword path ranger i have high str and dex. I beef up my stamina with armor and get buffs from higher lvl shamans for sta and str. After i hit the ceiling in armor im going to use my dex and str and make weapons. At least i think those are the stats that help in weps. If im wrong please correct me.
