I bought this game off of a friend who hated it terribly. Anyways, I installed it just to get it registered and all (I can't get a card to pay for it until tuesday or wednesday). It says that the registration is already being used. Do I need his name on there? or do I need to get a new number? Do I get a new number if I buy one of thos 2 month subscription cards? Can he just delete his name? Any help is appreciated.

Also, is it possible to find out what video card that you have on a computer without a box? I have a Compaq Presario (crappy I know) and I don't think it has the right video card. is there a way to test it before buying a subscription?

TY for your time, all help is appreciated!

You could have him leave the account in his name, and use the game care that way, but it is against SOE's EULA to do that. Each game has a specific CD key that you have to enter upon instalation, and that key, once registered, belongs to the person that bought the game.

I would suggest taking the hit in the wallet for what you paid your friend for the game, (or make him give you your money back, and return the game) and go buy a new one.

Uhmm..go to control panel, system, harware, device manager. Then expand your Display Adaptors. There you go.

ok I think I found the video card. Nvidia Vanta (Compaq). Its not enough to run it I don't think. I'll ask him about the account name. If he can't remember it, i'll just give it back. it was like 3 dollars so oh well.

Yes it is Nvidia Vanta
Chip Type: Vanta
DAC type: Integrated RAMDAC
Total Memory: 16.0 MB <<<<<<<<<< noooooooooo
Display Mode: 1280x1024 (32 bit) (60Mhz)
balh, blah, blah......

The point is its not good enough -_-'. I'll just give it back. I'll do something else. *sigh*

You have to get his account name
Password and his Pet Name to change it to your account.
Then when the billing cycles- it will prompt you to pay for it-
using your game card or CC.

I had the same problem with my comp...and had it upgraded to 32mb which is the systems MIN requirement and overall is good..however if theres PvP or Large Starports like Coronet you wanna hang out at...you NEED a better video card. - But I digress since your giving up so easily.
