A CM, or rather class mastery point is a point that you earn by taking some of your xp and using it towards earning CM points. You must have frontiers enabled to use this option. CMs are what you may save up and earn special things for your race class, or just add to you health regen power, hp, base stats etc. You also need this to go MT or master class at lvl 55 for example a Shadowknight at level 55 can go from a Shadowknight to a Slayer or Death Knight with the right amount of CM's placed in the correct area.
Hope this helped answer your question.

Not that I am aware of, but if you go to the class mastery thing in game and it should tell you what you have purchased then if you push i think it is R1 you can see of what you can purchase and a brief desription of what they do(there should be a General Race,Class, Master Class and a few others). But some of them will be locked and wont tell you anything other than the level required to get them.

One good site that I know of is www.hodstock.com Their CM/MC section is pretty good. It definitely doesn't hurt either to get the Prima strategy guide for Frontiers. There is a really in depth description of every ability attainable in class mastery. Some abilities are available at level 1, some 10, 25, etc. Most have a base stat required (i.e. Brawn 1 requires 100 STR) The four subcategories are archetype, racial, general, and...can't remember last one. You set your class mastery XP% as you wish; if you get 100k xp and have it set at 50%, u'll get 50k xp and 50k cm xp, and so on. With debt, half xp goes to debt automatically and it is calculated from there. Honestly, it is a lot easier to get the jist of in game than it is to explain it.

If I remeber correctly, you cant start earning CMs until lvl 5 or 10..one of those.

http://www.hodstock.com is a good site for CMs.
