This is something I'd like to know as well, Krayt Dragons being the ultimate prized kill for a hunter. I'm guessing it'll be best to hit it with a trap or two then spam the headshots. Are there any normal hunting tactics that dont work on Dragons?

Even though I know it can be done, Krayt's are NOT to be soloed. I think that you will be in need of a nice pet, maybe a Bio Engineer pet of some sort that can have high HAM bars, and then be sure to have a buff, as mentioned in the other posts, go for mind. Maybe it would be an idea for you to bring a friend (master doc would be nice) that could heal you, in that way you wont waist your mind on healing. Thats about it, but I still think that some MOB's are NOT to be soloed. :)

Exactly, the Graveyard is a place to start.

But they would hardly be a prize if they were easy to find. Your best bet is to start at the graveyard and hop on your vehicle. Fly around the mountains, the valleys, and the desert near by.


Thing is, first time I hunted krayts, I spent an hour and a half in those mountains around the graveyard with my squad, looking for them. And it wasn't until we decided to give up that I found a couple in the desert on my way back to the shuttleport.

As far as the challenge of the battle, here's my opinion: you shouldn't be able to solo Krayts, but the fact of the matter is if you know how to, you can pull it off (although I think if you're using a pet it doesn't REALLY constitute soloing). At the same time though, I would rather hunt with 2-4 other experienced hunters, than go after a pair with an army of 20. With a collection of skill players with a good assortment of skills (particularly GOOD docs), everyone benefits and you actually get the sense of accomplishment.


Seriously, how rewarding is it to go and stand in a big circle and shoot them for a half hour while the munch on your pets. If you can walk away from your computer during the battle, its not an accomplishment...

I would also love to joim a group going after Kryat dragon's Just so I might see one.

A little off the subject I know Kryats are the most dangerous animals in the game or at least the most publisized, but I found a creature near one of my harvesters on Naboo, that looked like a green lizard the Size of an AT-AT, it was huge. If it had wanted it sould have easily stepped over my harvester. Thank The force it didn't however because the harvester blocking it the fact that my speeder was still out were the only reasons I got away with my life.

Anybody what the big gree ugly on Naboo was.

BAck to Kryats however, I spent over three hours yesterday looking for them and didn't see hide nor scale of them. If some thinks they can find one I would love to join a hunting party to take one on. I am not the most effective hunter but I believe myself a great support character.
