Armoursmiths can do a special mission to learn RIS armour and soon Mandalorian it seems.

What can Weaponsmiths get? Any special mission based schematics like this? If not are there any plans for this?

As far as I know I have not heard of any special missions for weaponsmiths on the live servers. However I have been reading about some special new weapons on the test center. At least one of those is the same quest style reward just like the current RIS Armor quest. I'm not sure as to all the details. I have not played on the test server. But from what I have read on the message boards I hear they are decent weapons. I think they were a couple of new pistols and some kind of skyth for one armed combat. Hope this helps.

Weapon smithies can make the Nightsister Energy Lance. The schematics and special components for this lance drop off the mobs in the Nightsister Cave. I don't believe there is a quest related to this...just go and kill the mobs. These loot-built lances are very rare, I have yet to hear of one on my server (Corbantis). I've seen pictures (browse the SWG Pikeman forum) of them and they are cool, your whole body is surrounded by electric/lightning-looking stuff when you carry it.
