I'd grp w/ a tank 1-2 lvls below me. As long as they are, for instance, 38 and im 44. Then i would not grp, because we arent using the same level spells, and it would be difficult for him to hold agro. By the way, I wouldn't grp that low cuz u wouldnt get as good xp as grp'n w/ people closer to ur lvl
Oh yea..maybe u should switch servers to one that doesnt have gay people in it(hehe)

I agree that sometimes you can get groups that dont understand the physics of their roll in a group. When my SK was 44 I spent the entire lvl grouped with a 50druid a 48 rge and a 49 ran. It can be done, and oh ya none of died. ( also i only lost agro 2 times.) Just be confident in your abilities and do your job to the best of your ability and you will get recognized. Some times you just got to ignore them idiots out there with lvl complexes.

I agree that you can be a couple levels below the rest of the group and still do an excellent job...I know I have grouped with tanks a couple of levels above and for different reasons sucked...But I think it is all in how well you learn how to play your character...

Now I do try to group close to my level...makes the xp better than having the scale way off....Pretty much want to get every some good xp...And the only time I have worried about levels between chars is usually not for the tank level..although depending on what we are killing I will worry...but mainly for the healer level...I know that sounds odd but hear me out...

If your healer is 44 to 48 they have their 44 spells...If they are 49-54 hopefully they have their 49 spells..and epic spell...but eventhough I am 49...43s will con light blue to me and I dont mind grouping at something like phantoms if they dont...I just dont want to put the tank in jeopardy of not getting enough heal if we were to group at something higher...it doesnt make sense then...

But I definitely can see your grief about what level you are...It would bother me to have someone assume what I can and cannot do just by my level...I also am aware there are some 43 healers out there that have healed better than a 49...who knows..

Honestly just start your own group...or as one person said...group with the same people if you can...More people will begin to realize you are a good tank and can do your job well....We know how fast word spreads on the bad ones or the obnoxious ones (in all classes I might add)...And we also do recognize the good ones...So just keep your chin up and dont listen to anyone...if they feel you arent good enough..then they probably werent good enough for YOU...
