Can the story be changed?Follow

Is it possible to change the story in SWG or will it be just like the movies no matter what we do? The rebels have won acts 1,2 and 3, but what if the IMPs come back? Say more and more people decided to become IMPs, is it possible that if the IMPs start winning the act that things could change? Could the rebels be crushed and the empire win instead of the other way around? Think about it, if the story could be changed imagine the possibilities.
